Dear Anet and Gaile: Thank you.
Shadow of Light
So many of these little (and not so little) updates have happened because you guys listened to our suggestions (or incessant complaining). Thank you for listening to your community, thank you for taking action, and thank you especially for your patience.
The Ernada
Thanks Anet! Not all of us are complaining ungrateful players!

Thanks a lot, I'm loving every second of the Domain of Anguish
EPO Bot
Exactly. I don't ever dream of completing an elite mission, but i'm glad the possiblility is there.

Wow. A non-whine thread. I support this thread . And thanks Gaile & Anet

Yes, keep up the good work. It's nice the Elite Area is actually Elite.
Now, as soon as I finish it I will be far more proud of myself knowing not
many people will defeat the Domain of Anguish
I love the challenge

Most annoying pain in the butt I've seen yet, now I have to actually think about what I'm doing.
...Did I say that was a bad thing?

I agree.
I left this game for nearly a year and when i returned, i saw that there are two expansions which i now feel like getting.
Not only that, i could buy and use weapons from these expansions without even buying them.
I plan to buy one of the packs on Wednesday but in the meantime i'm just grabbing a little extra cash, exploring the silly last few % of Tyria with my chars, working on modding a nice staff for my trapper build (i sold everything i had before, lol) and earlier today i got my hands on that neat protection staff which Anet so kindly placed inside a nest of death in the desert. (Henchmen's generosity FTW).
I'm glad that the weapons that are at my disposal are still balanced in comparison to the expansion weapons and even more excited that i could pick up a collectors Ascalon shortbow 15>50.
I'm sure that they only had longbows some time ago. Saved myself 100k+ and it's just as good as your "Eye popping spiked deathbow of brain slicing".
So yes, Guild Wars is still the game i knew and loved, the same one which i played almost 10 million XP over three chars, 18 hours a day...
Sure, some things have changed, like healers running from an asthmatic Stefan before we've killed the melee mobs and the game engine telling me to take a break (WTF?! you sound like my GF).
The drops do seem a little on the low side at times, sorry that the ettins got hit hard, but those drops which i've had have been pretty good, got a 15>50 gold battleprick yesterday and a black dye the day before.
Roll on Wednesday, i can't wait to get exploring and have that "new" and exciting feeling back.

Thanks for the wonderful game you created, that let me spend countless (well ok, they can be counted, but I don't dare :P) hours of quality entertainment time with my family, old friends, and new friends I met through GW.

Hehe... I must state that the title of this thread is not sarcasm, just if someone dobts about it.
I knew this game in one of the open PvP weekends, and I loved it since then, every new campaing added this that I always loved, just as they where reading my mind.
Some things are a bit annoying ad frustating, but most of them are due to behaviour of bad players or fixed after some time.
Luckyly, I'm patient.
This game would be even better if there were not such people, but they still do what they can, and sometimes even more.

Thanks Anet.. for listening to suggestions, making quick fixes, having close to 0% downtime, and most of all for keeping the game INTERESTING. By changing stuff around and not allowing dominances to form continues to make the game interesting
Makes me pretty upset to see people calling Anet names like Anerf and such.. If you want to see a crappy and negligent developer go check out the official Star Wars Galaxies forums. SOE is a 180 shift from Anet and people PAY to play that crap.
/applaud Anet

This thread means a lot, especially tonight. If you don't know what I'm talking about.... well, this night has not be real great for pleasant forum reading. I don't know how hard the moderators are having to work to remove the trolls, but I am grateful for that, and I do feel greatly encouraged by the kindness of your posts!

My first impressions: Great stuff Anet, keep up the good work. DOA feels hard but interesting to me. No room for mistakes but I like that in an elite mission.

Thank you.. Nightfall is the best GW campaign ever

A.net is the most community-friendly devloper in ALL of consumer online games, and yes, I have played quite a few.
As a matter of fact, they spoil us so much to the point of creating a community of spoiled whining brats who takes things for granted.
Most of us are very happy with your service, and appriciate it.
Keep up the good work, and we'll stick around for the whole ride.

DoA is supposed to be an elite area - an area for the best of the best. Therefore probably only a few people will survive or even complete that area. But those who do, will be really proud of it. IMHO DoA is somethin like one of those hard to get titles - once you complete the DoA for the first time, you'll always remember that day.
So: THANKS ANET! For a great addition to a superb new campaign. I feel like falling in love with Guild Wars all over again since the realease of Nightfall.

Thanks, have enjoyed GW immensely since getting it. main char has over 7 mil xp and counting.
DOA is tough - have to have a good group that knows how to play and not just go run and gun. Had fun earlier with a good group as we completed one part of quest. Hoping for more of the same as I attempt to finish.
However - there are 1000+ posts in another thread for a reason, and if ignored totally I'm afraid will cost.
I consider myself an experienced player, would never say "Elite", and do enjoy a challenge. So my thanks is for a game that swallowed me in a few hours way back in pre and has given me a lot of enjoyment. Hoping for of the same, and I'm sure it will be there when the dust settles.

Thanks for making a game that hasn't gotten boring once since I picked it up. I hate DoA, but love GW in general. There's always more to see, more to do. There were times going for cartographer titles that I just stopped to look at the scenery, and certain zones like Bukdek Byway where I take the long way just to look at the scenery. The game balance is very good between classes, and the storyline, well, it has its moments of just "WOW!!"
I don't love everything about the game, so I come here and post what I dislike, but I love the game. Thanks for listening, replying, and keeping the players in mind.

Thanks for a wonderful game ANet
Way back when....lol... I was one of the whining wives...whose husbands was on Guild Wars instead of spending time with us. Since at that long ago time I couldn't get interested in any of the games he played. Finally about a month after he started GW I finally said " what the H***" and made a character to see what all the fuss was about.....and guess what????
We now have 2 computers and BOTH of us have all 3 Campaigns.....LOL
Our spare time is not spent is seperate rooms anymore, we are side by side, not only in real life but ingame also. We run characters that compliment eachother and have a blast running together. Also we have grown children that are now into GW just as much as we are. One of them and his wife have even left WOW for GW. LOL
**THANKS**

Thanks from out here, too! We've enjoyed GW so much that we've been buying copies for friends to try to suck them in.
As a pretty straightforward sort of comment that I normally don't get into: I've spent the last 5 or so years working on Windows Vista. In the last number of months before the release, work could be extremely crazy. Majorly overdue sort of project (understatement!) and with a lot of people looking at it and waiting for it. Usually writing was my outlet, but with all the stress writing became pulling teeth on many days. GW came into the picture around Feb. or so, on a recommendation from my brother. It became a great way to really diffuse that stress, get away from the madness at the end of the day, without feeling like it was just draining me further.
Now that we're all done, I'm playing a bit less and finally writing a bit more, but it really kept me from going nuts when I needed it. And some days it still does!
