Please this is NOT meant to flame but rather analize what went wrong and find out if others are as sad as me?
I feel very dissapointed and saddened by this new explorable are DOA.
I have noted in the past six months loss of "hardcore" gw players of at least 50% - people who loved the game but have left for good. This is a huge concern and I myself am at that point of maybe just "giving up" and it is a sad thing for me.
Is it me? or does anyone else feel as though this update is meant to frustrate and push us out of the game for good?
and please no flamming - honest truthful respectful comments good and bad!
I persoanly love GW's very much. But this update make's me feel as though maybe we as a community made anet mad and this is their response to us. I have lost the desire to play after this..
am i crazy or does anyone else feel the same???
Very sad for a game I used to love ever so much ....

The Domain of Anguish is not impossible. It is difficult, it is meant to be that way. With a group that understands the areas, it's not even that hard - just time-consuming. This is after only one day, and some areas have been completed; it won't take long for the others to be finished.
For once, the PvE game takes more thought than minesweeper.
It's an elite mission, meant to be the pinnacle of PvE. Do you expect every player to be 'elite'?

I agree. We just have to work. Trial and error will lead us through success in the area.
Anet made it this difficult, because I think they wanted us to have more of a challange than we have had with all other special areas we've been given.
Remember how hard Urgoz was the first few days?
Now people own the area with around 9 men... Same with The Deep..
So personally I say: Go Anet

Come on, DoA is ok, is a new challenge and it suppose to be very hard. So what is wrong with you guys ?
as Avarre says : Do you expect every player to be 'elite'? and Zarn that is so true.

The Domain of Anguish is like you being a train going at 100 mi/h, with no brakes, on a straight track against a train going at 300 mi/h. You may calculate when you meet, but regardless, you will die. In Urgoz's Warren and The Deep, however, the trains can change their speeds. It's more reasonable for a train going at an average 150 mi/h versus another train going at 150 mi/h
You can't use many combat tactics in Domain of Anguish as you could in The Deep and Urgoz's Warren. It's straight-up combat. It's the enemies that are the problem, not tactics.

I'd expect more people to be Elite, that's for sure. I've seen only about 10 people or so who have completed one area. And I gather there were about a thousand people trying the mission. 1% of all PvErs is quite unexpected.
