Henchmen Question

Ok...my friend told me that henchmen dont get DP...and from what ive seen they dont seem like they do....cuz i can have a dp of 60 in factions and my hench will still keep doing exactly the same as they always do....and also i was told that when u have hench in ur party u cant get a green drop...are either of these true??

Yes, henchmen are affected by death penalty. They also are affected by morale boosts.

In fact, with the heroes one can even check their death penalty or bonus.
The just take their share of the drops - nothing more. Essentially they always take any drops assigned to them before they ever are displayed on screen though drop assignment is *no* different. That's why people tend to think they reduce what you get compared to a party.
Any team mate that is far enough to be grayed out will never be assigned drops when an enemy is killed (though they still share in the gold). Since the henchies go where you flag them now - even the other side of the map - you can take advantage of that farming greens
