master of whispers/margrid the sly missions

It seems that if in the storyline you take master of whispers instead of margrid the sly, you cannot do the Pogahn Passage mission .. even if you are in a party with someone who has Margrid ...

Jack of Truths says something like "no lie, Margrid said nothing about <player who doesn't have margrid>" and then something like "before you go on, this must be straightened out" and doesn't let the party enter the mission.

I thought I could get into the mission like this? In fact I've seen several posts from other threads that say they were able to do the mission by travelling with someone who was in the right storyline. Was this part of some update?

no lie! my friend couldn't accompany me into the mission when i was doing margrid and he was doing master of whispers. he then ranted about something about paying good money for the game and being kept from playing some of it.

Have you finished the game on that character? I can't say for certain that beating the game is required to then finish it, because I never tried until after I beat it. I just know that once I beat NF, I was able to do Poghan Passage.

I'd say either you have to beat NF first, or it's a bug possibly recently introduced?

Have you done the quest that takes you to Master of Whispers' mission? If not, then of course you can't do Magrid's mission.

aha! I haven't done the quest that takes me to the Master of Whispers' mission yet... that must be the problem... makes sense! .. i'll try tomorrow.
