Staying Interested
Senator Tom
How do you do it? Guild Wars is boring to me, what do you guys do to keep it interesting. I get on GW, get into my guilds vent, and proceed to ask "what should I do?" to my guild/alliance.

There're plenty of stuff to do in Guild Wars. You can always try the elite areas after you've beaten everything else, or you could try for one of the many titles that are available. However, if you still feel this way, then I think a short break may be in order. But when you come back, you'll find everything new and interesting again!
KoalaMeatPie
But Keep checking the GW news, I happened to take my break during the Dragon Festival...
Gal Civ II was really addictive.

You really enjoy trying to find little tiny areas that you havent uncovered on your map? or trying to play in DoA with COMPLETE RETARDS?
KoalaMeatPie
Take a Break and play another game.
crazy diamond
You seem to have made up your mind. What makes you think anyone here will convince you otherwise? Just quit and move onto another game. It's what I did when I got fed up with it the first time. You an always just come back whenever. Just take a break. Especially from DoA, that place is retarded in and of itself.
Malice Black
I found being in a lively guild makes up for any shortfalls in interest. If that fails just take a few weeks out.

Why do you think I'm in Kodash Bazaar (and now, Gate of Anguish) so often?

PvP, go for titles. If nothing interests you, take a break.

Between my job, gym time, drumming, cleaning my house, writing, and being social with friends, I don't have enough time to play GW and get bored of it!
So how do I stay interested? Variety is the spice of life!

There are plenty things you can do to help keep things interesting. If you're part of a larger guild or if you're in with one socially, then maybe you could get involved and help organise some guild activities (dodgeball with Lightning Orbs, anyone?)

As much as I despised the "take a break" group; I fear I am now one of them - Guild Wars can not hold a candle in terms of long term RPG play like other online games can. It simple is not made too do so. Nor is the support system at Anet equip to adjust as quickly and repeatably as needed to must have things in game to maintain the "fun factor".
Don't get me wrong, if a skill is messing with the PvP meta game, it can be fixed within hours. However, glaring AI bugs, lack of drops, horrible game stopping bugs (such as gettig stuck behind NPCs in missions and quests) take weeks if not months to fix.
So, it would seem GW is meant to be played a couple of times a week if that. I would try and shift thinking towards GW being the game to get, if and when you have played all the others; or something to do when the "other(s)" online games have taken their severs down for updates.
Oh, and the "other" game I speak of is not WoW - not a big fan of cartoon games.

My interest is completely refreshed after a year off, but my PC has a new motherboard and is suffering terribly, such as restarts, green screens, monitor turning off, sound hangs, monitor flicking on/off, messages saying blah blah out of range, horizontal bars...a total nightmare.
If only i could play for more than 5 minutes at a time. Sometimes i don't make it past the character screen....yet it only happens on GW.
My point is, enjoy Guild Wars and think of those who can't, lol.

Obviously going to forums to tell the rest of the world that you are bored helps.
garethporlest18
You can't. You have to take a break, GW isn't changing. Finding friends could help, but taking a break is better.
Avarre
Didn't we just have a near thousand post thread about people being bored?
I'm sure you could find some sort of answer among the cryptic (ie: spam) knowledge there. Another thread serves no purpose, and this thread is really just rambling.
