Recently (am not able to pin down a date) I've been having some extremely irritating and disruptive graphics problems. I've taken some screenies as below:

Changing the settings in the options menu refreshes GW and the errors (sometimes) disappear but always come back after a while.

NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT/GTO 's in SLI

Have reinstalled drivers
Have reinstalled GW

Am not sure if I need special drivers or settings for the SLI; I assume not since the problem has only recently appeared.

No idea what to do!

What kind of stats for a power supply do I need? Like I said it's been fine up to now.

It could be possible that your video card is going bad. Same thing happened to me a while ago.

I'm having the same problems, pics below,

Video card - 8800GTX
Driver - 97.28

Just saw in the guru3d forum that adding the following in registry will solve it :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Direct3D]
"DisableThreadedDDI"=dword:00000001

Restart your pc to take effect.

Will test it later, if ne1 having the same problem may give it a go, pls provide feedback here.

The second screenshot you displayed here shows a graphical bug identical to one I had in City of Heroes a while ago.

I'm using a laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon X700 and I noticed when I went to check my drivers because of the issue that it was using the drivers of it's desktop brother, the standard Radeon X700 - or at least the driver details said so.
Oddly enough it never proved to be a problem with any other game I had played on the laptop in question - which was a number not to be underestimated.

After installing the Mobility drivers though, it ran like a charm again for every game from Tetris to Oblivion and NFS Carbon.

Tested the registry, didn't work for me either.

I have had this aswell,i think il need a new vidio card.

So far ive had two computer technicians look on it,one came 2 times, another 1 time, then i brought it to a computer store for repairs,i got it back today and im experiencing a minor glithch with colors of the circle surrounding someone you got targeted going out of control!Like for example an entire staircase turning blue when i target someone.

I expect to get the issues listed above aswell,i realy need a solution.

I used to have this same problem. My power supply was generating way too much heat and it was being trapped inside my case due to unclean case fans :[ Try cleaning out your fans of dust and stuff, and possibly keep your machine in a cooler area to prevent overheating :\ ...worked for me

You wouldn't feel an overheating component on the case of your computer. What you need is some sort of temperature monitoring software. nVidia drivers come with one, and I believe ATI has one as well. That seriously looks like an overheating or failing video card.

The last time I had an error like that, it was due to bad memory on the video card. I had to chunk it and get a new one. I found this out after analyzing when the problems were occurring and did some extensive research. It took about two weeks to narrow it down to that one problem.

I've experienced problems similar to this before as well. I haven't had the problem in awhile, but when I did, one of two things would happen. One of the things that would happen is that the ground of the area I am in would turn black. Because I believe the ground is on a different layer than things like grass, trees, etc., I would have the black ground but still see patches of grass. A lot of times, I had to restart GW because it was impossible to really know where you are going. The other thing that sometimes would happen is similar to the first post, except things like my Radar or some of the other things in interface areas would be blocked entirely white. I have screens for each type that I can add if anybody wants to take a look. I've been running my GW's on my Dell Latitude D600 laptop which has the ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 as far as video goes. Typically I don't have problems (except for occasional lag), but every once in a blue moon I experience something like this (or sometimes I will get the dreaded Blue Screen saying that "all my physical memory is being dumped" and it forces me to restart my computer). I think both problems above are related to video card rather than overheating because I use one of those "chill mats" or whatever they are called. Just thought I would share my information.

Your running an SLI setup and don't what kind of PSU you have?

Is this an Aleinware? Or did you build it? I would think if you built it you'd know what the PSU was rated. But those look like artifacts from over heating as someone else said. The whole machine is not going to feel hot. Feel the air comming out of the PSU and exaust fans. Also check your card temps in your display properties. SLI produces a lot of heat due to having 2 graphics cards. You need to have a good cooling solution.

I've just started getting this on my machine recently in several games. the machine also restarts randomly. I have done some investigating on the net and it seems that there is a problem with teh 7900 cards (I too have a 7900). There are loads of posts in gaming forums and hardware forums alike with exactly the same problem. the cards work well for a while, then this starts happening. It seems nvidia have said that it's due to overclocking, but my card isn't overclocked and nor are many others. Nvidia will not comment any further.

I really wish you guys would look over this... It took me a long time to type it etc, and I believe it to explain this whole thread in one easy guide.
