I'm sure many of you have played some sort of elite area such as The Deep. And I'm sure many of you would love to see FoW, Underworld and other such areas become more accessible. Well, we can't really do much about FoW or UW, but the deep and warren need a slight change. As it currently stands, those two areas can be accessed by members of the guild with the leading faction points. Good for these guilds. They deserve a reward. But making it only accessible to them and those they want to take their time out to ferry is a bit of a problem. To make it clear, I'll list the problems with the current system.
-Only a large alliance has a hope of gaining enough faction to take over cities making this method a poor situation of smaller tight knit guilds who wish to remain so.
-It doesn't ONLY let in members of the alliance who have control, but also people they wish to ferry. This is NOT rewarding those players since some of them spend quite a bit of time merely ferrying people back and forth. Most don't even get any gold out of it. They do it for free.
-It doesn't exclude the worst players or solely include the best since any player in a large alliance has a solid chance of getting in, whether they have terrible or great skills.
The change I'm proposing would be simple. Make it so that it is accessible to everyone in some way. The "bonus" for players controlling a city should be changed so that they do not have to ferry people as a reward. The reward could be something like an increased chance of recieving rare weapons or gold or something. Maybe a mini pet for taking control or a cape trim. Perhaps they can charge a small fee for people teleporting into the deep which would be shared out among the guild members. Anything but the current system.
Forgive this for being so long, but allow me to list what it says on the box. Exclusive elite missions. The most powerful alliances earn access to exclusive missions designed to challenge even the most advanced gamers.
So it was meant to be an elite area for an elite few that would be very challenging, am I right? Well the system now has not succeeded in any of those ways, so while it was a noble effort, please change it now for the benefit of all.
