I looked in the main post, and the searing flames builds on there seem like they just focus on a few main spells
Searing flames, glowing gaze, liquid flame, fire attunement, res sig.
So that's the 5 skills for any basic build. Now I want to know ideas for what to fill the 3 last slots with.
Monk could be alright for the glyph of lesser energy and aegis. Maybe add another protection skill like convert hexes or something to get rid of a lot of them.
Mesmer for extra interrupts which I generally put on all of the other heroes, because they make godly interrupters.
Ranger for maybe serpent's quickness. I read the build idea for human elementalists, and don't know if the hero would utilize the stance to keep up the other spells constantly.
Those were all of the ideas I had mainly. I guess you could do more stuff from elementalists, like add earth and use a ward or two. But I just wanted opinions on what you guys think would be good choices for the other slots.
Searing flames ele builds (need help choosing)

For my hero I throw in glyph of concentration, aura of restoration, and usually steam. Yea, he spams it when he shouldn't but it still mass blinds 1/2 the time and it only costs 5 energy. I generally find him to use glowing gaze wrong more often than steam no matter how I order the skills on his skill bar.
Sometimes a mesmer with an interrupt and some energy gain skill.

Glyph of LE - bit of a crap shoot as to which 2 spells hero will actually cast with it though.
Mes secondary with Power Drain and Leech Sig for secondary energy/interrupts are my fave choice by far. A fire ele can never havre too much energy.
Personally, I buck the trend and don't bother with Rez sigs for my heroes (or for me and I'm a monk!). I just let the henchies rez. Besides, somebody dying means I've already made a tactical error.
Regarding Meteor Shower:
Not a big fan. Sure, like everybody else, I played an "echo-nuker" way back when this spell dominated the GW landscape. But a 5 second cast in Nightfall is forever, and a fat invitation for any interrupter. Heroes tend to get stupid and cast this when there's one half-dead foe left.
Regarding Starburst:
Great for melee characters. To complement my Ele and Paragon Fire-based build, I tried having Koss use Starburst, Flameburst and Flame Djinn's Haste. As a bonder, I loaded him with Balthazaar's Spirit to keep him fueled.
Koss did quite well with the build. However, my flame-barrage ranger seems to work far, far better. So, my "burn-baby-burn" Superfly hero has been shelved for now.
