Razah quest - Finding a Purpose

While I heard that after paying Keeper Milzesh 1 of each Anguish Gemstone to gain entrance to the Heart of Abaddon, you have to free Razah by destroying the three binding guardians; I am curious as to how hard this is and if it can be done with henchmen/heroes. Also if you fail, do you need to pay him the four gemstones all over again to try another time? Can anyone who has completed this quest fill in some of the details as getting these gems is difficult enough to not want to waste any effort here?

I would guess you would only have to pay him only once for the acess and then each time you go to him again after you fail he would just let you in for free. But I have not yet done it, but this seems like the most obvious outcome. I mean paying him each time would just be rediculus.

you pay each time you go to UW or FoW right? probably the same here

But it's not the same as FoW or UW. It's a one time area for the quest.

You only pay once. then when you return he will say that he has your gems and is still admiring them

It is mainly torment creatures you encounter, herald of nightmares, scythe of chaos etc. Completed yesterday with 2 alliance friends and a selection of heroes. It is in no way as tough as the elites, however easy to get ganked.

Briefly:

ONLY someone with the gems gets Razah, you will know this because others cant talk to him. You can return there once submitted the gems.

On arrival you have three mobs, they will aggro quite quickly, so get ur defenses up quick, aoe is useful here as is some kind of bonding.

You will see first of three binding gaurdians in green, kill mobs bearing to the left, you will see Razah, talk and he says he will join if you kill gaurdians.

Gaurdians spawn a mob, morganites on nearest to razah, shadow wars etc on 2nd and then nearest to gate has several Titans.

Back to Razah, completed.

Thanks Li Tian. I wanted to confirm what the requirements were before wasting the gems on trying this since they are so hard to get.

Yeah I finally got my fourth stone last night. I proceeded to the Quest location paid my gems and went in. You can go back and forth once you pay the 4 gems.

I did this quest with heroes and hench.

2 warriors (Koss,Goren(second),Devona(first))
1 Dervish (Hench)
1 MM(Masters of Whispers) Golem & Fiends
3 Healers (Kim, Menhlo, Hero)

I used mainly SS,MoP,LB Gaze,Arcane Echo,Spinal Shivers.

Mainly waited all the way by entrence for first group killed them and made Minions rolled on from there. Tip make sure not to let Words of Madness live to long or get to many in a group.

Thanks for pointing that out i was using Devona for interrupts but switched to Goren, figured I would just name all that I used over the two times it took to do it.

The real question is: is Razah worth all this trouble for getting him?

Yes Razah is worth it - the versatility of a hero rit, spirit spamming etc, has really strengthened both my pvp and pve hero build.

Also, the effort involved ? is the natural conclusion of playing through the game, so eventually everyone who completes the game will have Razah.
