Traveling Through The Mists

Do you think us mortals will ever accomplish such a feat? If so where would that lead us to?

It is said that some immortal beings able to travel directly through the mist to step over from one world to the other but imagine if we were able to? Maybe we would finally be able to travel to the place where the Mursaat and the Seers first appeared.

Could this possibly ever be a storyline for a future chapter or is such power completely out of reach even for us heroes who have ascended so close to the stars and even dared to challenge a god?

The Hall of Heroes and Realm of Torment are the Mists...

Well yes technically everything is connected to The Mists but I am saying the ability to travel through them freely or atleast with more freedom then we do now. Currently to travel to The Hall of Heroes and the Realm of Torment we use portals and to do other travel through The Mists we use teleporters like the ones in the desert.

Not too sure what you mean here. When you reach the Hall of Heroes or the Realm of Torment, you are, essentially, traveling through the Mists.

Portals and teleporters are not enough freedom? What could be more free? Instant arrival?

It looks like the OP is thinking about things like travelling to other worlds - travelling through the Mists to another location you can't get to without going through the Mists yet not within the Mists, as opposed to travelling to a specific location inside the Mists.

Consider, to make an analogy, if we consider America to be Tyria, the Pacific to be the Mists, and Australia to be another world - say, the home world of the Seers (that's right, without us you'd all be dead by Spectral Agony, muahaha*coughcough*. Ahem). So far, we've visited the equivalents of Hawaii, Tonga, Easter Island, but we've always gone back to where we came, never gone all the way and out the other side.

Exactly. Portals are NOT enough freedom because they currently still limit us to our planet.

Everyone is saying how chapter 4 will be here or here on tyria and that might very well be likely but what if its not even on this planet? Just looking for everyone's opinion on it. I mean imagine a ship that could travel through the mists somehow.
