Guild Hall: Small Touches Big Difference

These are ideas I came up with while hanging out in my Guild Hall with the mates:

1. Ability to buy different songs to play in the hall.
This is somthing that not a lot of people think about but it can make a big difference. Its a big step in personalizing your guild in my opinion. Let us choose a few songs from around the world and keep adding more later.

*Edit* Posted this a few posts down but I want to get this up here for anyone who might miss it:

2. Ability to buy different sky textures to appear above the guild.
This is somthing a few other people that I've talked to have thought about too. I've always loved my guild but wanted to change the sky to add a dramatic effect. And they have made some amazing sky textures for this game.

3. Last I think it would be nice to be able to buy shrines of every god for our guild.
They wouldn't act any differently then the ones in places like ToA and the Chantry. If anyone can think of a reason why this would be imbalanced please tell me. You would have access to FoW and the Underworld without neeeding to travel to the Chantry or ToA but thats only sort of an issue for players who haven't been there already but you can already run yourself to ToA from LA at very low levels so I don't see how it would really make a difference.

Please /sign on the numbers you like or /sign all if you like all the ideas. /notsigned if you don't like any of the ideas.

I don't know how easy or hard it would be to implement these ideas into the game but I thought it would be good to alteast let Anet hear the idea.

Let me know.

Let me clarify here. I meant different music from Guild Wars not just any music from your computer. You wouldn't be freely changing the music you would be paying an npc perhaps the name would be "Conductor" in game to play different tunes. You would have a big list and when you selected one you would get to hear what it sounded like with an option to make that the new hall music.

Examples would be your guild normally plays the Ascalon music so you pay the Conductor to play the Kamadan music.

Most likely, yeah, but I would definetly pay for it and I'm sure others would as well.

I was about to say - be able to choose out of every song? I could imagine my guild waiting to GvG and having "Hotel California" playing on a loop!! lol
I like number 3 the most. So i'll sign that. I don't really see the point but hey what the hell lol

Also, if the statues cost more than 100k, why not have it possible to give money to the npc in increments?
For smaller guilds it means they could slowly build up towards getting something and see progress at the npc(without simply pooling the money). That way if the statues are 100k+, my gl gives xk and I give xk, and someone else gives xk, and we get a statue.
But that's just my two cents

Those seem like fun suggestions, although I could see some of the guild layouts running out of space with all those extra NPCs. I think instead of shrines, you'd have to just have the avatars hang out, and just brush you off if the region doesn't have favor.

Since we're talking about extra NPCs for the guild hall, what I'd really like to see would be a guild Xunlai agent. Give him two or three times the storage of a standard Xunlai, and let the Guild Lord set access permissions (could allow any player read/write, so alliance members could access it). I hear that this had been tried once early on (not sure if that's apocryphal), but I think with permissions it could be pretty useful.

Lyssa I believe:
http://www.guildwars.com/theworld/ca...dsincantha.php
Lyssa: In Cantha, Lyssa is not only the goddess of beauty and illusion, but also represents the incarnation of luck, both good and bad. Many Canthan Assassins revere Lyssa more for her intrinsic duality than her famous beauty, and have been known to invoke her charms. Depictions of Lyssa in Canthan culture reflect the typical northern style: lithe twin figures of exquisite beauty entwined in an eternal dance.

The music thing is tough, though it would be kinda cool. I think it would be better if you buy a Conductor style NPC, and he would change the music for free, or maybe something like 10-100g.

all, that is, on the condition that 1 is from a list of songs from guild wars. Dont want legal issues :|
But I want the music in there. Just imagine a dark, Kurzick style guild hall with a black/red evil looking sky with creepy music. Intimidation ftw!

I'm not sure what hall you have but I have the Imperial Isle and it feels extremely empty in the main room. This is the main reason I wanted the shrines. To fill out the space and add some decorations.

At no point have any of us in our guild (only 3 of us regularly active, a few others here and there) ever had more than 50k. Basically all the money we DO get is spent buying more skills to try and, you know, play the game.

Of course I'd imagine everyone here is playing the game.

I didn't mean to sound rude when I said that I just mean having a bigger guild doesn't mean that everyone is rich it just means there are more people. In my guild everyone makes money in their own way. One of us farms, I buy and sell and basically play the market as much as I can, another friend sells hard to get items from challenge missions and such. Really there are a lot of ways to make money in this game just no real official way to make a lot.

lol I Like This Idea(s). We need More customization for our halls. Some people say "This isnt a Barbie game, go play it and stop decorating" Well screw you guys lol. I sit in my hall a lot and i want new Eye Candy for it.
A mini Zoo for the Guilds Minipets.
A seperate Storage if you will, for just minipets. so we can see them.
But i digress, good ideas.

What I would really like to see are slightly more substantial upgrades, like the dodgeball game, similar to the Dragon Arena, or something of that nature.

Oh, Factions only Chars can get into Fissure and Underworld, from Zin Ku Corridor, FoW ond UW are Core areas, would be unfair to Canthans otherwise.

Oh believe me there are a million ideas I have for guild halls but these just seemed like the most simple, realistic and least time consuming ideas.

Music:
I like this idea, but I think only Officers and the Guild Leader should be the only ones able to actually change the music. Everyone else could just buy the stations to from which choose. (I would pay 10k for "Gwen's Theme", "Ashford Abbey", and "Eye of the Storm".)

Skies:
This might be a nightmare to code, and everyone might pick a sky as ominous as they could get, but I think that it's still a pretty cool idea. Maybe the tamest skies could be cheapest.
