Do spells that are cast under Signet of Illusion count as being illusion spells for the purpose of weapon mods such as +1 Illusion Magic / 20%?

With 16 Illusion, my SOI'd Orision will heal me for 73.
I had a +1 illusion (20% chance using skills) offhand and I cast SOI then orison more than 20 times and it only healed for 73, not 77.
I must have really bad luck or it doesn't seem to work.

Gotcha, so I'm better off using The Mindclouder (+15e, +5e^50% health, +30 health, half recharge all spells 20%), rather than a Dream Haunter (half recharge illusion spells 20%, +5e^50% health) and Jeweled Chakram (+12e, +1 illusion 20%, +30 health), when using a SoI build?

BTW, still using your fantastic Assassin's Promise / Spiritual pain build in PvE Redfeather.
When it goes wrong, you're left feeling a bit useless for a while, but the damage is ace
The only thing I've been enjoying as much recently is using Frustration, Migraine and Arcane Conundrum then setting up Jin for interrupts

Nexus if you have Factions, you might have fun doing a signet of Illusion build with a few neat Ritualist spells thrown in.
If your PVE group has some melee players trying bring wailing weapon and warmonger's weapon to use SOI on. It's quite funny seeing the enemies helplessly get interrupted whenever they try anything.
Illusion is pretty nice on it's own, but those two weapon spells thrown on a melee fighter in your group can be cool if you also cast frustration on the enemy beforehand.

I also tried with +1 attribute item, and never triggered. Guess +1 things affect the spell directly, not your attribute, therefore, none of the spells used at 16 illusion with the signet will get a boost.
