Hi
I recently formated my computer.
Now, when i want to login, it tries to connect for like 20 minutes, and then this appears: GW was unable to connect to any login servers. this is very likely caused by an internet routing issue code=58
it can't be the router, because we bought a new one and the problem isn't solved.
My firewall doesn't block Gw, so it isn't that either.
Can anyone please help me???
Mike
Big Problem!!!

It seen to me like Router Configuration problem or Router or ISP problem.
Code = 58 is Definitely Routing Problem.
If you have Wireless , change it to regular NIC. (Network Card)
If you are using Router , try straight in to ur PC instead of Router.

I had similar problems with 058's. In the end I had to uninstall GW, uninstall my Firewall. Then re-install both. Working fine so far.

Is the new router a Netgear router?
Some netgear routers come preconfigured for certain games.
One of the games that was preconfigured on my Netgear router was Star Craft which uses exactly the same port that Guild Wars wants to use.
If it is a Netgear router, go into the router config and check if there is an entry for Star Craft in the preconfigured games. If there is, then disable or delete the entry.

It may indeed still be a firewall issue. If you are able to connect to the internet (ie. you can post here), then it has to be a configuration problem with either GW (solve by reinstalling) or your firewall (change config or reinstall).
Check to assure that you are not running two firewalls; whatever good one you installed, and the windows firewall. Go into the M$ security center to check this.
If you are indeed running only one firewall, then remove the references to GW.exe and run Guild Wars again. The firewall will hopefully ask you if this is a trusted application, and then will let it through. Most firewalls have a "signature" associated with each application, which associates it with the executable and a unique checksum. So even though you may see GW.exe in the trusted list, it might not be the right gw.exe. This happens on both ZoneAlarm and Norton, not sure about the others. BTW, remove all references to gw.exe in your firewall, so you get a clean shot next time you fire up GW.
HtH's.
