Map Marker

I think that this simple idea would help us all with remembering where things are on the map.
Make a way for us to be able to make a mark in the map and maybe add some kind of message to it. Like if you wanted to remember where some collector is, or remember where the bosses spawn, all you would have to do is place the marker, add your own messsage, and wahla! Now it's at easy as looking on your map to find the thing that you marked. And the message will help YOU remember why you put the marker there.

I'd love to have the ability to mark a collector on a map!

Um, buy the new chapters so you get collectors and res shrines automatically marked! Not to mention that the map shows WHAT the collectors collect.
I /notsign, just because it's nowhere near urgent, already in the game, and would have little use.

Btw, there is a program for that, but for Tyria only... i think.

I tried suggesting the same thing months ago, there didn't seem to be much interest in it.
I'd still love to see it implemented though, so /sign.

But only if you are allowed a maximum of 2 markers.
In GTA San Andreas, you can right mouse click the map to place a marker on it, I loved that feature, I want this added to Guild Wars!

I like the idea of having simple map notes. The text would be saved locally, like templates and allow the player to mark the map via a "virtual thumb tack" and a small tool tip field.

If the markers are saved on your computer, doesn't sound too bad.
Collectors and Res shrines are marked on the minimap. It would be nice to have Material Crafters marked as well though.

Saving map markers on your computer would be best, just like attribute/skill templates are saved.
Like I said, there would have to be a limit to how many markers you can add. Maybe the amount of makers you can add is determined by how far you have progressed in the game?
A good idea would be to buy map markers from the merchant for 50g each.
