Hi, i used to like farming trolls until they started scattering, so i was trying to find a way to farm them without them scattering, the key is not to use AoEs within 3 seconds of each other, but how can i do that and still do decent damage. Well i turned to the most powerful profession in the game, the elementalist.
W/E
Atributes:
Axe 12 (9+1+2)
Earth 12
Tactics 10 (9+1)
Skills:
1)Cyclone Axe
2)Cleave {E} or Shockwave {E} (I'd use aftershock but i havn't capped yet)
3)Aftershock
4)Bonetti's Defense
5)Variable stance (Shield stance for high interups EG trolls, balenced for KD eg Hydras)
6)Stoneflesh Aura
7)Armour of Earth
8)Healing Signet
Basicly with the combo of Stoneflesh Aura and Armour of earth you take 0 damage, except from a few attacks which can be healed by the ocasional Heal sig. Now the trick is before you aggro activate SA and AoEarth, then aggro. Do NOT use your AoE attacks within 3 seconds of each other that will make them scatter. Always come out of Bonettis or the other stance when using SA and whenever posible with AoEarth. After about 2 minutes the mob will drop dead.
So far i have only tested this on Trolls and Hydras but i think it probably could farm more. Here are some pics of my farming :

Me, i dont think much of farming, but the build and concept here looks good, maybe if I ever get one of those elites i'll give it a go.
Oh, and the only skill I can see there thats Factions, is Shockwave, might be more.

The only Facs skill is shockwave, but the other usable elite, cleave can be captured From Chor just outside Nandu in NF

Back on topic:
The scattering occurs when more than 3 melee creatures attacking the same target get knocked under 60% health during the same time. In the first picture they are above 60% health except for the dead one which you attacked, and in the second picture, there are only 3, not triggering the scatter. Try just AoEing them and see what happens. Otherwise, using AoEs to get them to 60% health and then axe attacks to kill them off could work very well.

in ur troll pic it looks like they are scattering because there is one out side the aggro so ur build does scatter

I'm gonna try this with a few variations (I like farming with a sword); maybe try to combine your build a bit with the "OYK" build that was in the "Untested Build" section in guildwiki (I still use that one for farming)...but, all in all, this looks pretty solid...

i tested it and shockwave scatters them i put my only dmg skill as shockwave and they still scattered

easy option is take down axe mastery pump up strenght and use dolyak signet that + armour of earth should be over kill if you have some stances.

good build but y farm trolls since the release of nightfall there r so many eaiser things and better things to farm

Wouldn't minos be better? The trolls interrupt and take longer to get to.
