Male Tyrian Pyromancer Robes
Darkobra
I have a SLIGHT problem with the new dye system and the Tyrian Pyromancer robes for males. I'll try to explain this the best I can.
Now if you take a look at the top part of the robes for a male Pyromancer, you'll notice that it now has the inside of the robes dyed completely. I would rather it was the old way: the flame trim being dyed around the outside while the inside of the robes stay black. Now I like the new dye colours. I like how the red seems more blood red than a fiery orange. I just DON'T like how the inside of the robes look now, and I now have no way of changing it back. All I ask is for this simple fix. Please change it back to the way it was.

I got my 15k pyro armor nearly 10 months ago, so I wasnt aware of any change.
Are you sure they changed it?
Darkobra
I'm on about the 1.5k basic Pyromancer armour and only when recently dyed does it change. I've no idea if the 15k has this change too.
Priest Of Sin
At least Chaos Black still looks good
I haven't noticed any change, could you make a screenshot so we know what you're talking about?

Now take a look at the bottom of the robes behind his legs. It's completely red now. It USED to be black with the edge of fire trailing around the bottom of it, regardless of what colour it was dyed. How it used to be is how I prefer it.

....travisty!!
Coming from one ele who owns all the end game 15k armors. I wouldnt worry about it. Once you get 15k armor, youl realise how crap it looked anyway.
Darkobra
I've seen all the elementalist armours, and to be honest, that is the only armour I like. I still do like it, as long as I don't have to see that imperfection staring me in the face. I'm a man that likes dark clothes, and with the taints of red, it just made it look great for me. I really hope they change it back to the way it was. I have no idea why it was changed like this in the first place. If I'd have taken a closer look at the dye preview when I rushed to get a new coat of paint after the dye upgrades, I'd never have changed it. If there was a way to change it back, I'd take a leap at it.
Darkobra
I wonder if I'm the only elementalist that feels this way... Well, considering that the majority of elementalists I've seen are female and the few males I've seen rarely wear this armour.
Vinraith
Thanks for the screen shot, I haven't played an ele in awhile. You're absolutely right that the new dye pattern is inferior to the old one.

Fight the good fight! Save the Pyromancers! Many are being washed up on beaches and need a good toss back into the ocean! They will DIE if not in their natural habitat! Or... just fix the robes. That'd make us happy too.
Priest Of Sin
Man, that does look kinda bad...
'course I don't play an ele.

looks like u can choose the lining color of your coat. I didnt think it looks bad.

Darkobra
It's not the lining of the coat that's bothering me. It's the whole inside of the robe that's now just a massive wall of red, when it used to be black with the edge of the inside too being any colour you dyed it.
Darkobra
I wonder if they'll ever change the armour. I mean, it seems like a slight bug and not intended to be the way they are now. But then again, I don't think they announce changes to armours.
Darkobra
Support your local Pyromancer!
Samuel Dravis
Personally I don't use that armor on my ele (yah, he's a man, weird eh?). I get your point though; it does look bad. It should be black on the inside.
IMO, what really needs to happen is for eles to get some actual ROBES. I would so buy them.

Ouch... you don't suppose it's because of the lighter setting of the log-in screen do you? Looking at the examples from http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Pyroman...rmor_%28art%29 I'm guessing that the shadow will fall correctly into place in the in-game light setting and giving it its shadow back?
if it was indeed changed then /signed because the big blodge of color does kinda stand out in a bad way.

Theres a reason why you can buy 15k pyromancer armour if you dont like the cheap tacky one.

I prefer the old look to, dunno why they changed it.. but with the whole change in dye they pushed trough, they seem to made a few minor adjustments which are not liked by some, and loved by others..
I for one liked the old black dye, but now that I got used to the new colour, it looks good to..
Owh, and why support pyromancers? I think Anet supported them enough by making Searing Flames a uber skill

I don't know, I think it looks kind of cool. My 15k is dyed black but I think it would look cool with the red inside and black outside. Wonder if we could have that option?
Darkobra
Ok, now I KNOW it has to be a glitch. The hydromancer robes don't have the same flaw.
NeHoMaR
I personally don't like that armor, but you are right, anyway I doubt they will change back to the old one.
About people talking about 15k armor, well, I could say the best armor IMO for female elementalist is the 1k one, the cheapest max armor in the 3 chapters. My characters have the best looking armor IMO, not always the most expensive is the best for me.

Merry Christmas!
Darkobra
I'm actually tempted to just take it to support instead, where in turn they'll tell me to go here, where it will be eternally ignored and we will forever have the flaw in the game. Or maybe it will be fixed. All I can do is FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!
Feminist Terrorist
I know how futile it feels to try to get attention for a pet cause and no one cares. Therefore...I'll support you! Anyway, I agree that the way the armor is now is ugly and is a definite change from what it used to be. It should be changed back. However, you'll probably get your change around the same time Anet removes my ele's milk moustache, which is...NEVER.
Darkobra
Well I have figured out why we needed to hold our candy canes for so long. THEY WILL CHARGE ME CANDY CANES TO FIX THIS MYSELF! No? Oh well. Swing and miss.
Darkobra
Wintersday was fun. Snowman heads were quite hilarious. Maybe soon the calm will return and we can have our robes fixed again. Hey, I'll fight to the end to reclaim our glory!
Relambrien
You've been double posting a lot in this thread, I should warn you that the mods don't view bumping with a smiling face, especially at this frequency.
As for the robes, I don't care either way but I'll direct others who play eles to this thread to see if they want it changed.

From what I've heard, one bump in 24 hours as long as it's contributing to the thread and not just "bump" is fine.

Yet again Anet seem busy with more important things than fixing robes. Could be a long time before this gets fixed, if they ever bother...
Darkobra
As if I'd forget this!

That is a problem, this is not.

Waste resources fixing a purely visual thing when we have mechanical bugs why?
