so I bought a reinforced defender cause paragon shields have really nice skins.

However...... the arm is showing through the shield >_> this is very annoying because i was going to make all my +30/+10 vs type shields with paragon skins except for a gloom shield

Does anyone know if this happens on a vabbian bashtion?(I dont have one on me but its like one of the coolest shield skins ever)

Dang that sucks but looks kinda cool at the same time. Try switching between the 2 sheilds quickly. Put them in the hot keys. I do that with a sword and sheild soemtimes so im holding a hammer with one hand, looks pretty cool lol.

When a monk runs fast, the shield(s) also animates into them as well (at least for warrior shields anyways)... it really does need some fixing...

Ya fast switching doesnt help and I dont think it looks cool >_< I just wish they could be on the same axis. Like it seems like the paragon shields tilt at a different angel(all of them appear to) and the warrior shields tilt completely opposite.

@mammoth I know just what your talking about! The shield waves and bounces around and goes rite into your side ouch!

But I really hope they fix the positioning cause i'm bidding on like 3 vabbian bashtions >__________________________>

Even warrior shields aren't positioned correctly most of the time. The Exalted Aegis is one of the better cases, but most of the shields I've ever tried - and trust me, I've gone through a bunch - don't look right for one reason or another.

so far all the warrior shields i've used on a monk exalted, diamon aegis, irredescent aegis, geoffers all didnt have an arm popping through when standing still.

But when you run the shields bounce all over the place which is kinda funny if you ask me xD

Omg, I wanted to use Gothic shield with FoW so bad and when I equipped it, the glove went right through it... So, yea, you're not the only one

cry i picked up a req 9 vabbian for 5k put a +10 fire mod on it.....

and it still pokes through even if its a thicker shield Running with the shield is okay (as shown)

The weird thing is on a warrior these shields are fine, they are not slanted but held vertical... weird

It looks like only shields based on the Tall Shield model (Shadow Shield, Skull Shield, etc.) are guaranteed to look correct on female monks. Unfortunately, only Tall Shields can be inscribable, are ridiculous rare/expensive, and dye horribly. I've also noticed that if the shield is held vertically on a warrior or paragon, it will be bugged on a female monk. But even that isn't guaranteed. Rounded shields will almost never be held correctly unless it's a Tyrian shield.

Gloom Shields don't look bad but they are waaaay too big on a female monk. If they shrunk it down a bit more they might look okay.

So shield wielding monks are more than a bit screwed when it comes to options. I have to hunt down white versions of the skins I want to try just to be absolutely certain I don't spend 100K+ on a shield only to have it cutting my character in half or having it float behind her.

I noticed that awhile ago. Now i only use shields that i know stick to my wars arm. I check then if im pleased ill get a max version. Eg. Victos Bulwark.

Diddy bow, thanks for posting that. It's sad that it's a bit off, but it doesn't have the horrifying car-wreck look I was worried about. I think I'll continue my hunt for a cheap Jacqui's Aegis.
