this build uses 3 of marksmanship's most powerful skills (in my opinion) and uses frenzy for a quick spike.

attributes-16 marksmanshipe, 12 expertise, 9 wilderness survival

skills-read the wind, marauder's shot, burning arrow, forked arrow, frenzy, dodge, whirling defense, troll unguent

the only reason wilderness survival has any attributes in it is for troll unguent for at least some self healing. if you want swap out troll unguent for res signet and put the points in expertise. put on frenzy and use marauders shot first because it disables non attack skills for 6 seconds, followed by burning arrow and forked arrow. forked arrow may not seem great, but on squishy targets it can do over 150 damage. just dont shoot it while hexed or enhanted. dodge and whirling defense are optional so swap either out (probably dodge) for res signet. i switch between a sundering recurve bow and zealous longbow for this build. keep in mind i use this set up for ab, so it can be changed, maybe using something like kindle arrows.

How are you a ranger in PvP with not 1 interupt skill? Damage is a ranger's secondary accomplishment. His first being interuption/condition spreading, imho.

If you want to cause damage as a ranger, you are partially there with Burning Arrow. Marauder's is a strong skill, but you can do serious damage as a degen ranger that you can't do as a pure damage ranger, and it can all be negated with 1 strong heal w/o having something like Savage Shot. Take that into consideration.

but yea pretty much rant is no rez no good.. otherwise yea this build seems pretty decent just take the rez n interrupts into consideration

and about the build, you should change marauder's shot for savage shot for quick spike (forked -> savage). Also dodge and whirling defence seem to have little bit too long recharge for you to be able to cancel frenzy all the time. so switch dodge for natural stride. You could also change read the wind to apply poison, but it's your decision... oh and boost expertise to 13 if you want to save energy from 5e skills!

This build isn't that good but it isn't that bad neither

+: high dmg, some selfheal and defence, speed and attackspeed boost, burning

-: No interrupt, no condition removal, no hex removal, could get energy hevy after while, you use wilderness S only for troll ung, 6 sec disable could cause trouble

Personally, I don't reccomend running a bow build for high damage. Bows really shine in interupting, quick spike and dealing conditions. Compared to other weapon/weapon skills, bows don't deal a whole lot of damage over time. In AB, I really haven't seen many bow builds that perform better than a crip shot or some variation thereof. This comes largely because it's generally more effective for a ranger to throw on some conditions and interupt any self heals the enemy has while keeping them out of harms way. If you want to deal damage, try some RaO variation such as a R/D scythe ranger, R/W Thumper, or R/P pack runner. ~ my 2 cents.

Why not Burst of Aggression instead of Frenzy. Safe and no downside because you don't use adrenaline. Or Flail, since you use ranged attacks and moving isn't as important.
