Okay, recently on GuildWiki, someone posted the following map stating that they were playing around and came across a new area north of the Holdings Of Chokhin. Here's the link to the map.

They don't mention how they happened to "discover" this new area, but looking at my own map, you can make out the details of what could be a real area.

Since coming across this new map, I've went all through the Holdings of Chokhin and The Hidden City of Ahdashim looking for anything new that I might have missed previously to no avail.

Has anyone been to this area? Does anyone else agree that your own map shows details to support this new area?

I'd have to say it's fake simply cause it's not on the map included with the CE. And if they had just added it in an update; you can bet it would've been in the update notes.

I've copied the map in question and opened it in Photoshop looking for any dead giveaways that it's a fake, and if it is, they took their time and did a great job of it.

There is a passage going around to the left...although not explored this. There is something that looks like it up there on a clouded map.

Although Knightsaber brings up an excellent point of it not being on the CE map....unless they did add it in recently (and if so to what point?)

Any Grandmaster Cartographers who have explored up in that place?

I'd have to say in my unexpert opinion that it just has a "fake look" to it. Also the fact that the person didn't say how to get there makes me dubious. At any rate you can get GMC without going there.

Well here's a side by side with the CE map

the waterways look completely different within the big circular area so I'm still going with fake.

Unless getting there is from someplace obscure (like finding Dasha Vestibule) or there is a prerequisite, I haven't found out how to get there. I've done 99% of all the quests presently in game, but haven't yet achieved max lightbringer; so unless it's something obscure, it's not there. I should note that I've checked the following zones: Holdings of Chokhin, The Hidden City of Ahdashim, and Vehjin Mines. There was one quest in the Halls of Chokhin where, if you read the quest storyline, it talks about an ancient temple north of the Halls of Chokhin that was destroyed ages ago, which lended creditability to the area being there.

At this point, it's on the backburner for me. If someone else actually find it, please post. Thanks to everyone that lent their opinion, much appreciation.

I have completed every quest in NF, bar the DoA ones and whatever they open up. And ive not found a way there. But I'm not max Sunspear or Lightbrigner (8 and 4 respectively)

Here's my guess. It's a pic of the Hidden city of Ahdashim map using the U map while doing the Dasha Vestibule Mission. Reasons why I think so:

1. If it were the "M" map, there would be a name on it. - Names don't appear on the U map.

2. I looked at it on one of my Characters that I have gotten Protector title on, and on the "M" map, the Hidden City of Ahdashim shows all fogged in, but the title appears.

I'm going to check this later tonight, unless someone else beats me to it.

EDIT: THIS THEORY DID NOT PAN OUT. (If I had remembered what the mission was, I wouldn't even have posted it. - Senility strikes again!)

I followed that quest arc to a masters quest. The arc so far involves some lost scriptures from a temple in the north that the Margonites seem to want to get their hands on these scriptures. In the masters quest you have to defend 8 lvl 10 scholars from 12 groups of Margonites coming from 2 directions; i.e. I don't think I can hench it.

Anyway below is the quest diaogue. Judge for yourself.

Sounds to me like they're talking about Abbaddon and the Temple of the Six Gods in Gates of Madness (notice how often the hermit guys talk about the secrets of his god).

If you look at the person who placed that note on wiki you'll see that he replied to the question about how he found it -

'I 'discovered' it te same way, all those wonderful item- and skill-icons find their way here..'

That would be by image manipulation....

Anyone just look at the picture?

It looks compeltely and utterly Fake. You don't even have to put it in photoshop...just LOOK at it...

Someone would have to give me better proof than that picture to try to convince me...

Yeah, this is probably NOT fake, but just used an image editing program to sharpen the image and remove dust/clouds, becuase the outline of that place IS there.
