My parents are looking at buying me a sub-$1000 laptop and I was wondering if GW will run on any of the following and if anyone knows which it would run better on.

Geforce 6100 to go
Radeon Mobility x200
Intel GMA 950

I know I won't be able to run it at high resolution or high graphics, but I've always been a budget gamer. I can settle for low graphics, no aa, 640x480, as long as it's not choppy, I run infuser.

All the machines I'm looking at have 1gig RAM and most have an AMD Turion 64 3000+ (haven't looked to much at intel machines) so I'm good with the rest of the specs.

I also realize they are all integrated chips.

Well if it helps you i play on a 1800Mhz intel processor with 1gb of ram and an Geforce MX400. It's a fairly old laptop, but play GW fine in a window (about 1024 x 768) with all detail turned down.

I would go for the radeon or Geforce if possible and memory makes alot of difference to GW, get the 1gb you won't regret it.

I have a HP Dv8315nr that uses the ATI mobility radeon 200m chipset and it runs the game quite well. I do have to lower the settings to get respectable framerates though but that is a trade off for having mobility. Check the laptops that you are looking at for dedicated memory for the graphics chipset. This can usualy be found on the side of the box the laptop came in. It will denote the graphics chipset then it will have 128 megs of ram dedicated right after the video chipset. Anything without dedicated ram avoid like the plague, you will not be able to play the game.

In my experience, the low end Radeon chips are almost worthless, and the GMA950 is just as bad. I've built a few computers with integrated 6100 graphics, and it performs a little bit better than the other options.
