Auction in-game?

Dose some1 know maybe is Arena Net planning to create IN-GAME auction in Guild wars ?

People ask about the auction house pretty much every Gaile chat. The standing answer seems to be "no new news/no comment".

Can we send some kind of mass e-mail or somethink ? ? ? Because that is the only think that miss in this game.

no they will not have an auction house for the following reasons.

1 it would only help the ebay/etc sellers not the average player who could not afford what was being put up.

2 people would use auction slots with outrareous minimums on them as storage space.

3 they promised improved trading and so far we have

rune (now inscription as well) traders
crafting common traders
crafting rare traders
dye traders

i expect sometime we will get MOD traders as well.

Anet/NCSoft will not do something that will benefit gold/item sellers , hurt the economy, and not help the average player.

auction house is dead but trade improvemente will heep coming.

I know that they will not implement Auction Houses. The one thing I wish they would implement is the ability to Buy Back items sold in error to Merchants.

I really don't understand where you're comming from or how you got to the conclusion that improvements will keep comming. Rune, material, and dye traders have all existed since prophecies. True that the rune traders now also sell inscriptions, but inscriptions didn't exist before now, so they obviously weren't available for sale then. The existance of traders that have been around for two chapters doesn't prove they are currently doing anything to improve trade.

Use the auction here then and just meet up with the buyer/seller in game.

I think they should implement not an auction house, but a simple listing of things for sale where you could post your item. Or any sort of thing that would let you post your sale and go afk. To solve the using it as storage issue, simple. Just have it be a listing, not a container.

Just got back into playing after taking a bit of break from the game, I think Auction Houses are a terrrible idea for all the reasons allready stated. They would be there only to help the people who have A LOT of gold, which in case you havent noticed isnt the majority of the players. Most people run around on pretty well an empty wallet, so instituting a system that will only increase the massive divide betweeen the GW wealthy and the GW poor is going to be poo-pooed, and rightly so. I dont agree with all the decisions that Anet makes regarding the game but I agreee with this one.
Plus some of you are asking for what you allready have, there are two sites at the moment that run online auction houses, you can sit there and take all the time in the world, list your items, and sit back and wait for someone to buy, or vice versa.
I have used both of the services and they both work just fine, saves you having to sit in LA or similar trying to read the WTS,WTB as they go wailing by, trust me that game is for chumps, or people with more time than anything else ?? Find your item , buy/sell it, arrange an in game meet, could not be simpler, try it you'll like it.

But some ppl dont whant to sell item when u won on auction or they dont have thet item when u won because they sold it .... For me auction in-game is only solution...

I'm not sure how anyone can claim with certainty that there will not be an auction house implemented into the game unless I missed a gaile chat somewhere when it was said.

Just out of curiousity I'm a little unsure how a auction house in game would help gold sellers more than the average player, could someone explain please?

Finally yes there would be auctions created for massive amounts of gold, just like on guru sell forums or auctions, however surely there would be smaller auctions placed....just like guru sell forums and auctions. Imagine cutting out about 50% of the wts/wtb spam from the outposts, removing a high percentage of the ability to scam through trade etc. I'm still hopeful that one day a auction house or something similar will be implemented ingame.

To avoid people putting items on at ridiculous prices a listing fee should be applied, say 10% of list price. This fee will only be returned after a sucessfull sale.

This would deter people from using it as a storage facility, as it will cost way too much to try & list something at ridiculous prices.

There a couple rediculous thing about this thread:

1) there's yet another auction house thread.

2) the only naysayer is afraid it will be used as storage, despite the fact that increased storage is arguably more desired than an auction house.

3) this thread hasn't been closed.

every minute not having to sell something is that more farmbot time.

Anet is making it harder for goldbots/extreme farmers and this would only give them more farm time with an autosee feature
