We all know that now you get to choose what you want to salvage off of a weapon.
Example: I have an Icy Falchion of Enchanting. When I use a salvage kit on it I can choose to salvage either the icy mod or the enchanting mod. Ever wonder why you can't do that with a piece of monster armor? Or for materials from a weapon or off hand? My suggestion is to make this possible.
For another example: Jade has a regular every day Mursaat Hammer. When salvaged this item can produce 1 of 3 materials, either iron ingots, wood planks or steel ingots. Make it so that it works the same way that salvaging mods does. I get to choose whether to salvage off the iron or the wood or the steel. Now some will say that this would imbalance the economy because everyone would be salvaging off the expensive materials. I disagree. There are many times when I'm out getting materials and I want cloth. I go to salvage a piece of critter armor that in the past has given me lots of cloth and now it gives me a bolt of silk. I didn't want the silk, I wanted the cloth. I think that even if this does (heaven fobid!

) drop the price of rare materials, would it be so bad? I mean whats the current cost for a suit of FoW armor? How many people can actually afford it without buying gold off of some crappy site? *cough* ebay *cough* Besides, it wouldn't actually drive the price down too much, because, and correct me if I am wrong on this, you can't salvage ectos from anything. Big deal if it costs you 30g instead of 200g for a steel ingot.
