They fixed that with the new Nightfall AI. Henchies stick with the party leader no matter what now.
Hmm, I was wondering why I seemed to have been having little trouble with my henchmen two days ago when I passed it as the only non-AI form foreign

This might be off topic but:
My Assassin is stuck at the Eternal Grove -_- That place is completely empty last I checked. Would anybody like to party up with me as a full human team possibly with heroes? I haven't gotten his heroes yet as he just set foot in Elona.
I did it awhile back and we were fine against the Luxons but the 2nd part with the Afflicted went bad. I was on the right side and we were doing fine until the Afflicted Warrior boss came in on the left side and pwned them all.

I was able to complete all the quests with hench on many of my characters. I generally had help going through missions as a monk, but for all my other chars it was not an issue. Now that there are heroes, this is even easier.
13 Dec 2006 at 13:47 - 11
I think you'll get the same answers than in this thread, ie: those 2 missions are henchable, and if you can't do it there are tips in this forum or on guildwiki, and actually when you know what you're doing henching them can be even easier.
EDIT /
Quote:
The only problem I could see is getting the protector title. I was able to get masters with henchies on Unwaking, but some of the others I don't think I'd have a chance with.
Even the prot title is henchable. I took my last char (a survivor) through all Cantha with henchies - I didn't get all the masters (well I didn't try hard) but I never missed a master by more than 40 secs (or 1 turtle in the case of Gyala), and my heroes didn't have max weapons. So I guess it can be done...
EDIT 2 / OK, maybe Raisu is the exception as if you take heroes half of your team dont have celestial skills, and if you hench it, they do but are less effective.

If you need help, pm me. I have 2 heros (Necro from Tyria and Assassin from Factions). Dargoth Alfazul (add me to friends as I may be playing one of my other characters).
I'll help you with whatever mission. Let me know what you need (I have W/R, R/Mo, A/Mo, N/Me, Mo/E, Rit/N). I have 3 other characters but they haven't done anything in Cantha yet.
I'm on night times on the week-ends. Friday-Sunday anytime 8pm on NA time.

Cool, thanks Pick Me. I think what we should do is both of us take Olias and set them both up as MM's so you can take one side with your MM while I take the other with my MM (Unless we can fnd a human MM). I'd prefer you as a Monk but any high damage dealer that you're comfortable with can work too.
Would anyone else like to join? I'd like to get at least a few more players with some heroes possibly (I prefer most if not all real players though).
I'm usually on every night, weekends work for me with the exception of Saturday afternoons, I won't be open until after 6pm (Central Time) on that day.
I hope we can get more players to join. Thanks all!

Beating Shiro can be quite easy for any party with a E/Me.
I will assume you are the E/Me for the following:
Ele / Mes Shiro Build
You need:
1. Arcane Echo
2. Echo (e)
3. Celestial Skill
4. Meteor Shower (optional)
5.(optional)
6.(optional)
7.(optional)
8. (optional)
Get everybody (except you) to body block shiro by running up and standing next to him. Groups with lots of melee haracters are good for this as they have to stand close to begin attacking. Feel free to take lots of assassins in the group if nobody else will. Melee henchman are also god to make up the numbers.
Echo chain the celestial skill by casting Arcane Echo then Echo(e). You should have 2 copies of Echo(e) now. Next cast the Celestial skill. The original Echo is now a copy of the Celestial Skill. Cast this, then cast arcane echo on the copy of the celestial skill that replaced the original Echo(e).
In simple terms -
- Everybody (except you) runs up to shiro to block him.
- Make sure he is blocked
- Press 1 2 3 1 2 1 maybe hit 4 if he isn't dead already.
- Dance on Shiro's corpse.
The above echo chaining of the celestial skill can also be put to great effect in the mission just before Shiro. In this case don't over use the celestial skill as you want it recharged for when there is a big group or annoying boss. Try arcane echoing your meteor shower, and only use celestial skill when necessary and when there is a boss nearby to recharge it.

Np. I must warn you though, my Heros are very weak. 15th level, I haven't had a chance to level them up to 20 yet. The good news is they have access to all Prophecies and Faction Elites and almost all of the normal skills. I have acess to every monk spell in Factions & Prophecies, every Assassin skill in Factions, every Rit skill in Factions. However Elementalist, Mesmer, Ranger and Warrior skill in Factions I don't have all of.
So, I'll bring Olais and myself (unless we get all 8 human players). I'll take my monk out of her home and try to level up her Assassin and Necro. PM me (My monk's name is Tasha Myriad).
Saturday Central Time? Is that in North America? If so, then that's fine by me, it'll be like 9 pm for me. Cool.
Let me know when - Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.

I'll have to get my Olias up to level 20 too, I'll work on that later tonight. Yep, Central Time North America. I'll PM you in game when I see you on. Also, I'll try to see if some of my guildies will help too. Thanks again!

I tried unwalking waters with henchies, beacuse even back in june when i first got there, there wasn't many people looking for a group. maybe 5 other people in town. So I tried with henchies, and no it didn't work. Since then, I did manage to get it with my sin with one other real person i knew and henchies, It didn't go great, but it worked.
15 Dec 2006 at 03:46 - 18
Ok, so far I've got 1 of my guildies that will come with us too. He's gonna bring his tank.

Ah yes, Raisu Palace... I know it well.
I gave up with my assassin right now, she is still stuck there. Maybe I'll complete Elona with my Assassin first, then comeback with a full set of heros and beat that mission.
HKSdivision, that's great. 5 more humans to go.
Regardless, I'll be on Friday night about 9pm, but goodness... my heros will still be 15th level.
Meet you at the Eternal Grove... Go Kurzicks!
15 Dec 2006 at 15:34 - 21
Henched that one as well on necro. Spinal shivers + cold weapon was enough to completely shut down the dragon, while the henchies fought the mobs.
Ironically, this was also the fastest time I ever got on that mission. That was well before heroes and NF release too.
15 Dec 2006 at 18:05 - 22
All missions are henchable as Livingston said, but I'm not so sure about Masters reward. Some of them can require a split or simply running past certain areas, or at the least a level of coordination, skill and speed that a hench team can't provide. Maybe with heroes and flags it is possible now.
Even before Nightfall was released, you would find Unwaking Waters empty. The reason is that it is a very easy mission to do with henchmen so everyone does it with henchmen. It just takes some thought. The best advice I can give is don't fight Kuunavang and the afflicted at the same time, you can run back and fight them separately.

Cool, we could try it tonight maybe if you're up for it. I'll try to get more of my guildies to come along. I have work till 7pm Central time or (5pm PST) but we'll have plenty of time tonight or tomorrow.

My IGN is Resshin Ohka

My monk is camped in Unwaking right now- Im not a pro monker, more of a side-character, but I would be more than happy to Protect you guys.
IGN- Versus Serene
I couldnt get masters with hench on unwaking waters, but I did get masters on the last two with henchies (was playing assassin, so the few groups there didnt want my help I guess..) The key to it is to bring along Danika and Talon as they will let you skip the most of it. Shiro is super easy as long as you kill the constructs ASAP to recharge your henchie' celestial power; and keep an eye out for when he starts floating (spike time) What I mean, is that Unwaking Waters is easily the most difficult mission in the game (unless youre pugging some of those pre-maatu Missions... :P)
EDIT-
"go kurzicks?" well, since Im on the red team, I can try to give some luxon support= we could enter at the same time and it would be like a few months ago when it was very very common to get Allys instead of NPCs
16 Dec 2006 at 03:38 - 27
Horseman Of War, we could use all the help that we can get; thank you. I'll try to arrange a team tonight and if that doesn't work then we'll try for tomorrow.
My guildie that wanted to come isn't on atm either but if I see you guys online I'll PM you.

I completed Unwaking Waters with two human players, myself, and then a team of henchmen and got Masters. Shiro has to be the biggest joke ever. I've beaten him in around 1:36. Spoil Victor works WONDERS on him.

Body block shiro in with every party member.
Have an assasin activate star strike. Have a warrior activate storm of swords, 8*25*15 damage over 15 secs. AKA 3000 damage +375 for every other ally ( pets or minions from celestial skills ). Have an ele activate celestial storm, 40*15 = 600 damage.
Let's assume there are 4 allies. That's 12*15*25 + 600 damage minimum. AKA 5100 damage. You only need 1200 damage more in this 15 seconds to kill shiro wich should be quite doable.
When using the ranger celestial skill you won't even need monks to play it right since you kill him in 15 secs.

yeah - all you need there is somebody to take the beating while shiro is under empathy and spoil victor.
poor guy
