2 big problems in factions, which will worsen with time
Bellucci
Ok, first, is unwaking waters doable with hench? I mean in all honesty, your looking at a team with 15 hench, and that will only be far more likely with the release of more campaigns.... how the hell are we supposed to beat that mission?
problem number 2... in the event you miraculously get passed unwaking waters with all hench, what the hell happens imperial sanctum when you face shiro?
ok, the problem isnt so much beating the game, or obtaining the amulet of the mists.... if your part of one of few elite guilds out there with many players on who are all willing to help, you'll get through...
The real issue here is armor... almost all players will have the armors that are buyable at the end of the game only locked away from them forever... so how the hell can anyone expect to access those armors now!? Thats the problem i face with making a ritualist, i so want the 15K canthan armor, but getting just isnt feasible at this point
Thia is why i suggest for arenanet to move the armor crafters to a realistic town... And as ritualists and assassins, since we are not core classes, we get the short end of the stick anyway by getting less armors than the other classes....
Come on Anet, move the imperial sanctum armor crafters somewhere else!
Its funny because i encounter so much stuff that makes me want to quit the game, and yet almost all are completely and realisticly mendable by anet.... im not sure im going to buy campaign 4, and i probably shouldnt have bought campaign 3.... because as it is right now, i cant do the things i would have been able to do earlier, and thats craft my canthan 15K armor... meh

This is a reoccuring problem throughout all previous chapters which will continue, and making a minor remedy to part of the problem isn't a very good solution.
There are less and less people playing old chapters, and without proper parties, it can be near impossible to accomplish certain objectives. The heros take alot of the problem out of the equation, a powerful synergy of Heros can often be more powerful than real players. They are limited to Nightfall, basicly wrenching us to buy perhaps the best chapter in the series (boo hoo), but with previous chapters, it may be a good idea to allow people to use 6 and 8 henchmen.
Another good options is to add rewards to finishing Missions and Mission Objectives, without it Missions become old news. If a player spends the time to overcome difficult objectives in Mission based scenarios than they should be given additional rewards, which can be obtained repeatedly. This would bring people back to many missions as a means of Farming which isn't as boring, and which people can enjoy team play rather than soloing and grinding.
I have to say, it is alot bigger than Canthan Armor. Hopefully Anet makes some creative insentives and opportunities for Mission play in the future.

Henchies are exactly as good as you are. I would suggest going out and practicing with them till you can make them go exactly where you want, when you want and target who you want. Once you get the hang of it, they'll be just as reliable as the perfect guild group.
Personally I pray for the 15 henchie scenario on the two team missions - a pug on the other end usually spells doom.

Every mission and bonus/masters in Prophecies and Factions is achievable with henchies. Every mission and masters in Nightfall is achievable with henchies and heroes.
If you can't beat it with henchies, keep practicing with henchies until you know how to target with them and get them to do what you want. For missions like vizunah and unwaking waters, I hope for a full team of henchies on the other side as other players tend to screw me over more often than not.

I got Masters on UW with my Mesmer going Hero/Henchway.
I easily got Masters with my Warrior on Raisu Palace and Shiro going Hero/Henchway.
These missions are simple. If you're having trouble, re-think your strategy.

can u really hench shiro? i thought the henchies didnt come back after being banished?
Stormcloud
If you are at Raisu Palace with Monastary armor perhaps rethink that bad choice and get a "cheap" set of MAX 1.5 armor and try again.
Terra Xin
Just go to guildwiki.org, they have very important tips that will help you get through both missions. Especially for imerial sanctum, many people have henched that one successfully.
you have to kill the monsters that replace them, especially when you're henching.

What? Unwaking waters with henchies hard?
Nah. I cleared it with my rit. At one point the other hench team just died. But I still made it.

Not any point in adding more counterremarks.

Well henchying unwakable waters is impossible for certain classes i think. you need to be able to damage kuunavang enough for each portal, and warrior e.g. cannot strike kuunavang, nor can their secondary do much with 2energy pips. Besides, do you really think anet intends for people to buy an entire set of new skills/secondary and cap an elite just for one mission so they can make it through?
Nickhimself
Here's a very, very simple solution to any class that "can't reach Kuunavang"
You (wammo deluxe)
Norgu - Degen / Interrupts
Acolyte Sousuke - Burning, Nuking
Margrid the Sly - Poison / Interrupts
2 Random Henchmen (Longbow / Interrupt)
2 Healer Henchmen
Problem solved.
With a setup like this, the Degen and Interrupting will be too much for him, and you will go to the 2nd phase of the map much much faster than you'll ever expect.

I have to say I didnt completely understand your bit about the armor.
As you said, the game is obviously do-able, otherwise you wouldnt have people like myself with protector.
The hench thing....
As for completing missions like waking water with henches. Anet cant make all their missions do-able with henchesmm or alteast do-able on the first run with henches.
All missions can be done with henches/heroes in GWs. It takes control, and planning and knowing how to do it.
I can understand your frustration when you situations where cities and towns are empty and you cant find a human team to play with, plus when you start and your allies are henches.
But thats not really something Anet can fix. There are bound to be times during the day or week when people are there and when their not.
But 80% of missions in all 3 games, are do-able with henches. Its only the odd few which arent, and thats a good thing. Its good to have a mission which is actually challenging enough that you need a human team to complete it. Otherwise we would just be left with boring, hack and slash meet fests with no puzzle of strategy to them.
In saying that. Factions is just badly designed all around. This idea of needing up to 16 players for a mission is just stupid, because more often then not, you do end up with henches.
The armor thing.....
If I understand you correctly.
Your complaining that the end-game 15k armor is located in the Devine Path, which can only be accessed after killing Shiro each time?
If thats the case, then I dont see the issue. Killing Shiro is easy. So getting access to that location isnt a problem.
But they did exactly the same thing in nightfall. They made a isolated location which you can only access after completing the end mission each time.
Compared to Shiro, this end mission is a pain in the ass and it isnt easy. But even so.... I still manage to get my 15k armor in one go.
How? I read guildwiki to see what materials I needed. I collected them and the gold and took them with me and then bought my full set of 15k armor, and my new green weapon all in one fell-swoop.
So if that was your point, then Im not seeing why?
I actually like the whole idea of having end-game armor located in places which you can only get to by finishing the end missions.
Especially when you have the choice to get 5k or 10k armor (which actually looks nicer and is more expensive) from easily accessed places like capital cities.
This means fewer people have end-game armor and you look more unique.
Its my understanding that in factions, you have 15k Sin and 15k Rit armor which you can buy in the capital luxon and Kuzack cities. So its not as if you have no 15k armor to buy if you choose not to get end-game stuff.

But still one problem remain. If you can hench those 2 missions, you gotta be experienced to do that. I probably would have been badly beaten if I had tried to hench them with my very 1st char.
Concerning armors: Raisu Palace is easilly henchable: just pick the right henchies. There is a topic about that in the canthan forum, with tips. Don't go with heroes as they don't have celestial skills. Just henchies. And you'll beat Shiro and get your armor. So I don't think this needs to be changed.

mmm so you took the time to get 100k for the whole 15k and you cant take the time to do a couple of missions to craft it ?
I dont know what PvE'ers think Anet is ... Santa Claus ?

You're not serious. I did UWaters with Henchmen and my warrior. Not heroes, henchmen, I did it far before the release of Nightfall.
The other guy left and I had a 15 henchmen team.
As I needed to interrupt, I went ranger secondary to interrupt with Diversion shot and savage shot. With 0 in secondary attributes, these 2 skills interrupt wether you spend attribute points or not. And took an interrupt henchie too.
I got MASTERS on this mission without ANY difficulty.
I HIGHLY suggest you go on guildwiki.org and look at the excellent bonus guide. If you do as they say (That is, don't cross "gates" and wait for the afflicted to come without attracting Kuuunavang), there's no way you can fail the mission.

Anything and Everything in any and all Guild Wars campaigns can be done with Henchmen. With the release of Heroes, it has become even easier to roll through the game. Then you have Guild Members, Friends, and Acquaintances to call on for help, if you just can't do it with Henchmen and / or Heroes.
Sadly, posting on these forums is easily doable without the slightest bit of in-game effort made beforehand.
