"Slayer" Title
BustroQuick
I was thinking about the elite missions, and perhaps there could be a title for killing some of the 'larger' enemies in the game (You get 1 point for each one you kill)
Maybe we could compile a list of some of the unique bosses, such as-
The Undead Lich
Maw the Mountain Heart
Glint
Rotscale
The Iron Forgeman
Shiro Tagachi
The Leviathan
Urgoz
Kanaxai
Kuunavang
Abaddon
Varesh
Mallyx the Unyielding
Undead Prince Rurik
Kuonghsang
Hai Jii
Tahmu
Kaijun Don
Lord Jadoth
The Greater Darkness
The Fury
The Dreadspawn Maw
Thoughts?

That's a cool idea. Give a title for killing each boss in the game at least once.
Well, all bosses with an Elite at least.

Quid Pro Quo
Yeah but put them in groups of 3.
Example:
Lich, Shiro, and Varesh = Demonic Servant Slayer title.. ect.

Easily solved with another tier of titles, the first ones may be simple to get, but your 1337ness is preserved with those higher ranked tiers

if more new titles are introduced, the "max titles" title can shift up to 15 with a new name
currently there are many titles that are very hard to achieve for part time players... please understand that not everyone who played guildwars have more than 12 hrs a day to have a shoot at the titles.
i think a mixture of achievable titles will encourage ppl to really have a shot at it

It's not I Did This With Ease (5) and Lol Killed Bosses (10).
Maxing out titles is supposed to be something that takes time. Stating that all players should be given the opportunity to see these under their names isn't realistic. Not everyone in real life should be rich just so they can drive whatever they want.
Good things take time.

please no more 'farming titles' in GW...
Unless, each boss would count once.

But only if each boss can only be counted once.. like cherrie said
I like the idea, and I bet the title would look great on my little monk ^^

This title would be an equivalent of the Skill Hunter one.
Next thing we know people will moan to make it chapter specific again.

problems!
1) Some bosses on your list are insanely easy compared to other.
eg. Hai Jii vs. Mallyx the Unyielding.
2) Some boses can only be accessed through the completetion of the entire chapter.
eg. we all know who.
3) Having all of these one time slayer kills is rather rendundant, titles take time, killing 20 bosses, gimmie what?
A week, mabye?*
*Exceptions: Mallyx and such.
4) As previously said, we have enough titles already, and people who worked for PKM, will get very angry that its become easier. ESPECIALLY with the release of this title.

I meant that each boss could only be counted once, and perhaps some bosses could add more to the title than others (Like the example, Mallyx could add +3 and Hai Jii could add +1)

Scenario: Poor and underprivaleged little Billy just got his first and only Guild Wars game and is really excited about playing it. He creates his character and is introduced to the wonderful world of GW as he sets out for his adventures in Tyria. Over a few days, he battles and progresses in the game doing mission after mission....slaying beast after beast. As he kills the Lich and proudly achieves his Protector title, he presses the 'H' button to smile at his accomplishment. As he gazes at his Protector of Tyria title, he notices another title below the Protector title. He rubs his eyes, confused by what else he sees: "Slayer: X/X". Wanting to be the best in Guild Wars and to have not just one accomplishment....but many....he decides to go to the Guru website to find out about this title and how to obtain its max. Its there that he learns that the title can only be maxed out if he has Factions and Nightfall as well (which poor underprivaleged Billy doesn't have). He thinks, "What happens when other chapters come out?" Enraged by this unachievable feat, he types /ragequit in the local chat, picks up his computer and tosses it down 5 stories of a high rise complex. With much frustration, he picks up a pack of Uno cards and begins playing a game of Uno by himself.
Anyways...the moral of the story... Either make the title stand alone for each chapter....or don't have the title at all.
BTW..I have all 3 chapters. But we all know that "Billy" is out there. I'm taking a stand for Billy

I'm with Emik....I like it, I think it's an intersting idea but really, do we need another freaking title?
Spydergst1
I don't think Glint should be included in this because if you want to pregress through the game you have to beat him anyway. I think mosters you kill who don't have any bearing on your pregression in the game like Rotscale for example should be used.

Ummm....uhhh......maybe Toys for Tots or maybe its one of those $100 laptops from the One Laptop Per Child non-profit organization.
Did I make up the story? Well...I'm sure you won't find it in the library, but yeah. Let's just say its one of those LONG days at work.
Anyways...I think its a somewhat creative idea, but needs a little revamping.

As for the title.. meh, why not, but make it ALL bosses, and each boss can only be killed once (they obviously can be KILLED more than once, but they only give a point once). it would be chapter specific, and have maybe 5 tiers.
as for everyone complaining about easy KoBD/PKM, why not have an extra tier for that? and i don't see how it is easy to kill every boss in SF, DoA and kill Urgoz/Kanaxai (i suppose they are all easy enough, but then, its harder than cartography. both require searching, both require time. only this one you have to kill all bosses, and also you have to explore areas that don't count for cartography.)

It'd be possible to only include bosses that don't have to be killing to progress the story (Shiro, Lich, Kuunavang, etc.) In fact, that'd probably make the title a lot more interesting, and would encourage people to explore, assuming they knew about the title.
Good ideas all around
Count to Potato
It'd b to easy to farm, especially for Shiro

unless u mean PROPHET varesh i say its impossible to kill this combi.
commander varesh is quite an elite by itself, put a lich with it is like worse as DoA...shiro however may be ignored even a mesmer can tank him longer as 1hour.

This is what Chuck Norris would refer to as a "slow tuesday."
"Can I have some fackin' wheaties mom! FACK!" says Billy.
"Sorry but all our milk is warm and sitting on the porch because we traded in the fridge for the computer which you threw out yesterday. And I pissed in the wheaties box." --Mom

Don't see why we need even more titles. Unless you've maxed every title bar you have in your hero menu, stop making up new ones.
And for anyone crying about their KOABD/PKM titles, you can get off your high horse. Everyone should have a chance to get their title, but coming up with new ones is not the answer.
