Fire Spiker
kess
Who said only Air ele can spike?
1) MoR
2) Meteor
3) Searing Flames {e}
4) Liquid Flame
5) Glowing Gaze
6) Aura of Restoration
7) Fire Attunement
8) res sig
Just go through the order 1-5 if somehow your target still standing, cast another SF to finish him off.
Counter:
Hex removal, interrupt, knockdown, backfire
Just a thought, maybe a me/e with fast cast and glyph of elemental power can do a better spike.

ok... AIR spiker?
LightningHell
Not a spike.
NinjaKai
Searing flames, great choice you can deal a couple points of damage to those high armored mods.
Purpose of a spike is to deal large amounts of near constant damage in a short space of time, almost enough damage to near kill an enemy. This build probably won't even drag an enemies health past 75%.

ok, consider a warrior with 80AL, meteor deals 84dmg on first strike, then SF deals another 84dmg, liquid flame deals another 84, GG is 37 that's 289 dmg and the opponent is suffering burning (-7 armor ignoring degen) from the start. Don't tell me that your warrior/dervish has 1200hp from the start.
the cast time for meteor is 3 sec, the others is 1 sec cast time, but the spike only start when meteor hit. with 20% HCT weapon you will at least get 1 spell to be fast cast.
I agree that it will have some difficulties to kill war/der/ranger/paragon but for the other class that has only 60al, that's 400+dmg in around 5-6 sec time (taking the aftercast cooldown time into account).
The good thing about this build is that, after I go through the sequence, I still have plenty of energy left. I can always cast GG to gain more energy if the opponent still standing.
If the other team has a good monk, consider this as putting pressure on 2 ppl, while your teammate can concentrate all their fire power on the other 2.

Are you assuming that their monk has a 10-second reflex time?
.defekt
Holy crap. Nice build. Did you think of this one yourself?

thanks, I was just experimenting different ele builds in RA and came across this build myself. At first I was owned by Assassin spike and I just want to kill the sin before being killed, found out the meteor will break the sin chain with the KD. Then I incorporate other skill to finish him off..

But how does it compare with a Reaper's Mark spiker? I mean that character can spike multiple guys at once!
bam23
This is too slow to be a spike.

made me lol...
yeah, thats not a spike. a spike would be dropping that same dmg in 1-3 seconds, not the 5-7 that this build has. an average monk could heal this in his sleep. and yes we have tried this out, its called a pve searing flames elementalist. at best, you can run it in RA or AB, outside that, nothing much. kess

I know there's alot of SF builds out there, I just give you another option, you can choose not to use it.

too slow? ok, switch to me/e and replace aor with glyph of elemental power(5 spells). Amok Affinity
i laughed
i cried anyone want a taco? because i don't. LightningHell
That's still 3.63 seconds.
Just a suggestion, why not just use Searing Flames and go pressure instead? By the way, don't triplepost. ss1986v2

sure thing:
*Frenzy Sin (using standard BLS, HoX, FS, TF combo) *Any Spirit Strength melee spiker (daggers works best, but axe, swords, bows, whatever) *this one is the most fun; 100 dmg hits on 100 armor targets, gonna be nerfed somehow* *Evis or Decap Spike (teamed with IAS, exe, and crit chop) *Fast Casting Air Spiker (hammer, orb, strike, ect...) *Attuned Air Spiker (pretty much same as above) ...just to name a few (its late and im tired). and some others that are borderline but have similar spike/pressure capacity as a searing flames ele: *Recurring Soul Barbs (recurring insecurity, soul barbs, ect...) *Virulence Spiker (frag, virulence, whatever you like to apply the deep wound, has taken a hit over time, but still fun to use) *Smite Hammer (IAS, backbreaker, holy/soulstone, crushing, ect...) *Attuned Channeler (spirit rift, channeling strike, gaze, surge, destruction, ect...) *Spirit Spam Rit (pain, bloodsong, shadowsong, painful bond, ect...) *Traditional Blood Spiker (not as much, but totally armor ignoring dmg + life steal) *RaO Thumper/Reaper (hard hitters/good pressure/capable of a spike) just about all ele builds are effective vs 60 armor targets. earth (sandstorm, aftershock, shockwave, dragon stomp, ect), fire (SF), water (shatterstorm, vapor blade, ect), or air can all deal good dmg to 60 armor target. not a lot to brag about. these are all of course RA/AB builds, since you referred in an earlier post you had 3 teammates. these all work well to some extent, in the context of RA/AB. and this isnt a knock on the build you posted. it works, but its not a spike, its pressure. unless you are running multiple SF ele's, its not a spike. LightningHell
And even if you're running multiple SF eles, you can still do massive pressure.
XvArchonvX
Congradulations, you posted an inneficient version of a common build people have been running since the release of NF!!

Bwahaha! You caught me off-guard with this one.

Savannah Heat + gale spike works better if u doing 1 man spike, you shut down the monk for 3 second, then just follow up the fireball.
If the timing of this go right at last 2 second of SH you should deal 380 damage to a 60 AL target in less then 1 second, assume that no one bothered to heal the target while he only took little damage on the first 3 second. I usually have the team focus on one monk and I do the spike my self on the other one. works out fine in HA. Gale is an awesome skill.... LightningHell
Gale is awesome but Savannah Heat isn’t.
jesh
Gale makes my pants happy.
