So I have the quest Uncharted Territory and I need some serious help. As soon as I enter the area (Nightfallen Jahai) I get swarmed with waves of level 28 monsters, like 8 at a time, and they totally steamroll my party. They wipe us out in a matter of seconds, overrunning us completely. I've only just reached RoT so I don't know the tricks. Any advice appreciated.
I'm a barrage ranger with Sosuke and Zhed as SF eles, Koss as tank, and fighter/motivation/2x healer henchmen.
Nightfallen Jahai, help!

You took the Master Level Quest.
Look through your Quest log for the Realm of Torment Quests - when you find the one that says "Master Level" or something in red text - abandon it. You can pick it up later. This way you wont get swarmed right at the beginning.

I would even go one step further and abandon all quests for the torment, except the quest I am on. Only having the quest you are on makes the realms in the torment much easier.

Neat, thanks. I never would've thought that was it. My reaction was "omfg this is the FIRST quest in RoT? Holy shiznit!"

I did the same thing >.< Don't even take Master level quests until you have done the other ones...they just get in the way, and if you aren't prepared for them...it'll ruin whatever else you are doing...

i also did that too. i was shocked to begin with then realized my mistake. lol

The particular quest giving you trouble right inside Nightfallen Jahai is "Breaking the Broken," which is admittedly a little rough if you are not expecting it.
Honestly, though, this is the only one I would abandon as all the other quests do not interfere with the primary quests as drastically as this one - you won’t notice the difference.
I actually completed this quest with heroes and henchies when I first got the Realm of Torment, but it took three tries and I about had a seizure trying to monk it and hunt down duplicating enemies. Once I did complete it I felt a huge sense of relief when I realized the whole area might not be that bad....and then I felt like a moron for not realizing what was going on.

This is true. Abandon Breaking the Broken, then just run it, being careful of aggro circles etc. You will need to fight a couple of groups at the end but that is it.
Good luck :-)
