Flavor text on skills?

Flavor text on skills, I think, would be an excellent minor addition to the game. Not a priority update by any means, but I think it would add just that extra touch of niceness.

What's flavor text, you ask? Why...



See that italicized text at the bottom? That's flavor text. Serves no real purpose but to add an extra layer of flavor--hence the name--to the card.

I think this could be added to skills rather well, some small lore explanation of the skill, or a humorous quote as above.

When I look back at my old magic card, I laugh at some of the flavord text:

"Whats the fun of being a wizard if you cant mess with people heads"

There would be a lot of hilarious ideas for some skills.

Make it a community designed contest, so it doesn't waste the dev's time. I'd love to see what we can come up with (though some skills are their own flavor text..."It's just a flesh wound" comes to mind.)

And yes, it probably should be a community contest so as not to waste the dev's time. Maybe have the winner's char names be added as the quotee?

I was thinking about a toggle, yeah, for having it on the tooltips. And have it always on the descriptions when you're looking through skill lists.

A community contest would be awesome, I think!

Awesome Idea, though like someone posted, might not be to everyone's liking, so perhaps an option to toggle them on or off? Also, if ANet is listening (which I'm sure they are ), if this does become an official competition, try make other countries ellegible to enter, as being a South African, I can't enter most of your competitions (such as the sf "name a boss" contest).
