Capturing Lyssa's Assault
Lance Goodthrust
Hey there.
I've read that you can cap this skill early in the game, at the Blacktide Den mission, off of General Kahyet.
However, when you kill her, it ends the mission right away, so you don't have time to get the cap sig out and get the skill.
I've tried keeping the other guy alive and just killing her, but that doesn't seem to work.
The two grasps always hang out near her, so they inevitably end up dead before she does.
Has anyone actually capped this skill from her? If so, how did you do it?
Thanks!

or you can just buy it from the skill trainer at Mouth of Torment

Arkantos
Or you can unlock it with 1,000 faction and buy it at Kamadan.

These are true, but don't answer my question.
I could wait until the mouth of torment, but why wait that long when you can get it so much earlier in the game?
And I don't PVP, so I don't have loads of faction to unlock skills...
However, my initial question still stands:
Has someone managed to cap this skill from this boss, and if so, how did you do it?
Thanks!

You don't need to PvP to get 1k faction. Just RA a bit.
Anyways, apparently it's possible to cap sandstorm from the drought. So, if thats true, you should be able to cap it, but it's not wortht he time trying tbh.

Doesn't the mission have 2 bosses to kill at then end?
i can't remember the name of the person you follow but when you get to the end there are two people to kill, on is General Kahyet and the other i am unaware of, but if you kill General Kahyet first then maybe the mission will continue until you kill the other.
this could be a possible way of capturing Lyssa's assualt.
Only a thought

HTW: You're correct in that there's a second guy, however, I've left him completely alone, sending my henches way out of striking distance and only had a healer nearby for me.
I've then attacked only General Kahyet and killed her (and the two Grasps with her), leaving the other bad guy. As soon as the General Falls, the mission ends, so leaving the other guy alive apparently does nothing.
I guess I'm not the only one who hasn't been able to cap this skill from this mission. I wish whoever wrote the Guildwiki entry that claims you can cap it would step forward and tell us how they did it. (:
Arkantos: Like I said, I don't PvP, but it's my understanding that if you unlock a skill in the fashion you're suggesting, then it is ONLY available to PvP only characters, of which I am not. So, while your suggestion works for someone who is trying to get the skill for PvP, it does not for PvE.
Thanks!

It does benefit PvE, which is where you're getting confused. If you unlock a skill in PvP (Non-elites) You can buy them at any skill trainer in Elona. i.e. if you can't buy it until RoT, you can buy it from Kamadan if it's unlocked.

Arkantos: you were right, I was confused by the Faction Rewards guy's wording. It looked like the skills unlocked would only be available for PvP.
I did some RA, had some fun and got the skill.
Thanks. (:

Pretty sure it is.

I'm glad the OP has managed to obtain the skill Lyssa's Assault. However, for anyone else looking to obtain this skill early, it can be capped from a Water Djinn dervish boss (whose name I forget) in the explorable version of Fahranur.
Head to the central room filled with water and use a cap sig on that boss's corpse.
That's how my dervish first capped Lyssa's Assault, anyhow.
This is probably easier than trying to grab it off Kahyet.
