How much RAM does your computer currently have? If I remember correctly the minimum requirements is 256 Mb for Prophecies and Factions and 512 Mb for Nightfall. it is recommended though that you have at least 512 Mb for Prophecies and Factions and 1 Gb for Nightfall. If you have less than these requirements, you may want to do an upgrade.
Another possible solution, which I am thinking it may be is that you are running out of virtual memory. If this is the case, you may want to make sure that all other tasks other than guild Wars is closed. if you have a bunch of stuff open (Internet, music, other programs, etc..), you may start running low. I would also recommend to try to Defrag your computer if you have not recently done so. It may clear up some stuff on your system to allow a more optimized performance.

Try the technical help sub-forum? (It's the one immediately below this one on the main forum page.)
The folks watching that one really do seem to know a lot about technical issues. Give them as many details of your system as possible.
Sounds to me like you may have a memory module gone bad (rare, but it can happen to integrated circuits) or a new (possibly virus) program eating up system memory. I'm far from an expert on such things, though.
Hope you can fix it easily enough!

if you want a computer to play games on, just remember to look at all the computer specs to make sure your games can run on it. I would hate to see you buy a new computer only to find out that you still can't play your favorite game. Good Luck.

good luck. BTW your computer has a memory leak most likely being caused my a corrupted file within GW you could always try to reinstall it.... and if your comp is below 512 MB then just pony up for a ram upgrade. however this is a great time to buy a new computer.... just make sure that it comes with a free vista upgrade there is no sense in buying one that doesn't. as it's pretty standard at this point
