whats Your style in being ritualist ?

Restoration
Support your Party members by Using spirits,Healing and buffing
Communing
Known to be used by spirit spammers, or just using the existing skills for builds
Channeling
Damage enemies. Power up yours, or your allies weapons.
I myself would choose healing, it makes you the most wanted ritualist in Guild Wars. Since the monks are being completely lazy lately (No offence tough)

In groups with other humans, it's almost always restorationalist, although I still occasionally get to be a spirit spammer. When flying solo, it's channeling for me.
Made In Ascalon
I used to always do restoration, but now I try to use Spirit's Strength with daggers whenever I get into a group. It's fun as hell and surprisingly does a ton of damage.
Sophitia Leafblade
I go mainly Restoration while using communing to increase damage (using a mix of spirits) which although isnt very good as a primary healer words very well as a support healer in a party while still being able to do considerable damage to the enemys

I hate being pigeon-holed... I run what I feel like at the time. My Rit is flexible enough to allow this. I do however have a preference for dual builds...
Hella Good
I play anything. Spirit Spammer, Resto healer, VwK soloer, Channeller, SS melee/ranged, you name it. It's a versatile profession, do just that with it- be versatile.
Dead_Metal_Zero
Mainly resoration and channeling. Spirit spamming burns a huge hole in my energy reserve. I also try different spirits strength builds. Used to VwK solo, but since the change, I havent done much because they run off and VwK ends on me.

Right now I'm trying a Rt/R with Spirit's Strength.
I want to try using attacking spirits and crippling arrow attacks and see how that goes. The problem is it's effectiveness is so dependent on me finding higher ground so I can cripple a person far enough for my spirits to keep attacking them before they can get in spell range.
Is a toughie, but I won't give up!

i basically use communing, it is very good at reducing damage on u and ur allies and its very useful with monks (esp Protection)... i mainly use the spirits that reduces damage and those that do damage...

I have played channeling, I have played resto healer, I have played MM (was godly before boon of creation nerf), but in the end the only rit I enjoy playing is spirits.

Eh, I agree. In a way, rits are the bastard class of GW. Channeling is recycled air magic, restoration is recycled healing and protection. Communing is the most unique aspect of rits.

I used to do channeling but now I'm getting better at the Rt/P using communing, restoration and command to keep health and defense up for the whole party in PvE. Lately, it's been saving a lot of the guildmates I work with when all of them are down and I have to cast Boon of Creation + Restoration + Rupture Soul to mass revive.
Purple_Genius11
I do everyhting....... but one of my best builds are my channeling builds. My Favourite one i posted on wiki search Rt/Any Evercasting Channeler.... its not finished but it shows the build
Michael Dennis
Like this class can do just about anything, so why people just use restoration, i'll never know. i do everything with the class!!!! (no offense to those who jus play monk with the class)
Lysander Freeman
Restoration, Channeling and defensive spirit spamming, all depends on the situation when in a party. With henches and Heros I like to go Channeling unless there's a key NPC that I need to watch and then I'll go restoration.
unmatchedfury
channeling seems to do such poor dmg I never really use it in PvE. Restoration communing(both offensive and defensive) and a spirits strength assn are what i usually use in PvE
in PvP i got almost anything wiht my rit

I mainly go with restoration when playing with PUGs.
And with heroes/pvp i go spirit spamming most if the time.

Being a Restoration Rit is loads of fun, but unfortunately, no matter how much we try, it is truly difficult to be 100% as efficient as a Monk. That being said, we can also do things they can't do.
I also like to dabble a little in Channeling, I'm trying to find a Continual Channeler that actual does something worth it, but it's difficult :P
Once I get everything settled though, I'm probably going to end up Minion Bombing, because that's just how I roll, and I hate conventional MM's.

Weapon spells all the way, so for me it's Communing, Restoration and a bit of Channeling... And then some Axe or Sword mastery and Tactics.
I love being a R/W ^_^

Channeling for me not many people use the channel spike, so it's surprising to be killed by a rit.

A number of us were talking about weapon spell builds and started going on about how vengeful weapon and weapon of remedy in the same build can be quite good.
Someone suggested using a Rt/Mo spec'd in Restoration and Smiting using Reversal of Damage on top of that. Recently in that forum I saw a build using Resotation and Smiting that proved to be quite good at providing both healing and damage.
Here it is to try out. I haven't played it yet, but it's something that I think will really work well and probably be my favourite build based on my previous experience with some of those spells combined.

I really enjoy using skills that hardly anyone uses. One in particular I had real fun with was using; Swap, Grasping was Kuurong, Destruction, Rupture Soul - That was a really fun spike build to run.
I'm also looking at how Destructive was Glaive is a targettable item spell. I'm no good with making HA builds, but I think if you got a Ritualist-ball going around, you could channel up some pretty nasty spikes if you use it all on one target^^. KABOOM!
When you get into parties with monks who have a few enchantments to protect you with, you have a good guaruntee that your Spirit Strength rit will go far. That skill is more valued than IW - aside from it's increased damage, but also because it can be easily covered with Sight Beyond Sight. In the illusion line, you're not so lucky.
Signet of Spirits worked well for me with the restoration line. When I had recovery, recuperation and Life on the floor, I could use that elite and pump up the heals with Spirit Transfer. Normally, recover should take care of all conditions, so skills like Mend body and Soul might be a waste. Instead, take something like GwS and Soothing Memories for self defense.
Last of all is my favourite build, using Echo in the channeling line.... great times^^.

I use my ritualists in all roles, to be honest...
Communing/Restoration - Perfect PvE soloing for me.
Channeling/Restoration - Excellent for AB's and Fort Aspenwood.
Spawning/Restoration - Great for group PvE play as a secondary healer.
Communing/Spawning - Ritual Lords are far from dead.
I know I could probably create a Communing/Channeling build to deal out some sick damage, but I have a hard time abandoning the highly useful Restoration line.

rl spam before IT.
rl spam with damage spirits after IT.
one hell of an annoying resto with some ranger spirits at aspy.
(prolly my favorite build ever - on any char!)

Channeling for me.

spawn/commune=ftw yes not the fastest caster but let me set my spirits(pve only of course)then start a battle.good luck to all just out of my aggro circle...lol.

Channeling. When I first used it I was blown away. Although as soon as I capped VwK I'm going solo vermin.

Rawr, Made a Spirit's Strength build as a Rt/P for PvE. Spears seem to be excellent for PvE, ranged attackes gives you less need of defence, while having slightly more DPS than a ranger. Too bad there are so little spear attack skills.

For some reason, I love restoration. I always find myself healing in any video game I play (White Mage in FFXI, Druid in WoW, Defender in City of Heroes, etc., etc.), and I really like the style of healing that Ritualists use. I normally run a Weapon Spell-based bar with the addition of Preservation ('cause I like that spirit) in PvE play. In PvP play I'll run a Weapon of Remedy - Reversal of Damage build so that I have some damage output with my healing. It's a fun time.
