After noticing a fairly alarming amount of "Can I play GW on my PC?" threads over the months, I have come up with a simple solution to not only help all of you curious players (or would-be players), but also to help the mods by cutting down (hopefully) on the clutter related to such threads. Here, in this very thread, you will find the minimum
and recommended system specifications to run each and every Guild Wars chapter. You'll never have to ask around about your new computer's compatibility with Guild Wars ever again!
(That is, unless you have a technical problem, in which case, feel free to ask away.

Confirmation of these requirements can be found on the
wiki and by browsing through the products in the official store.
It would be wise of all users to take note of the fact that each chapter requires more "oomph" to run at maximum settings than previous Chapters. Be sure to keep your systems up to date, not only for Guild Wars, but for all things computer related. If you slip too far behind the times, there isn't much anyone here will be able to do for you (sadly)!
Notice: This thread is not meant to help you tweak your system, or find special shortcut line commands to increase your performance in-game. We have plenty of other threads on those subjects, and hundreds of members who would be more than willing (or at least, one could hope) to assist you in such matters. This thread is simply to give users an easily accessible list of system requirements for Guild Wars games, so that there will be fewer posts on if such-and-such PC can run Guild Wars: <Chapter Name Here>.
