Yes Folks Another one of my build mod question threads, where I take a common cookie cutter build and modify it to see if any positive results come out of the mod.
This Week it's Shock Axe!
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Build:W/E_Shock_Axe
Since I am an Elonian only war (though I did cheat with Shock and Sergio), I am quite limited without access to Evicerate and such but I found an interesting replacement. Anyway here's what I am currently using for PvE and hope to adapt to PvP:
Axe: 12+1+4 (irl it's 12, I've yet to buy an Axe Hat. )
Strength: 9+1
Earth or Water Mastery: 9 (You'll see folks)
Excess into tactics with a Rune.
Insignia/Armor: Any work but 1-2 Stonefist (the KD booster) Logos really aggrevate the monks.
Shock
Executioner's Strike
Decapitate {e}
Berserker Stance or Flail (I use Berserker atm because I like the Adrenaline booster)
Stoneflesh Aura or Frigid Armor
Lion's Comfort
Wild Blow (Bad idea I know, but I hate ranger stance)

Normally I cast the defensive skill before going Leroy into a mob. With your defense up you accumulate your adrenaline then find your target and switch to him. After that, unload the Shock then do the Execute+Decapitate spike for massive damage. After executioner, most squishies are already dead since the skill guarentees a critical hit, so you fall back and choose your next target.
Probably my big mistakes for this build thus far are relying on Lion's Comfort for healing and using Wild Blow as a 3rd attack. I was thinking of replacing Wild Blow with Axe Rake but Decapitate conflicts with the adrenaline problems. I might drop the elemental defense to get Healing Signet back but Stoneflesh has been very helpful at times.
But anyway C&C guys. It feels like I am missing a key item with this build.

Just a quick point: Only use 1 Stonefist insignia; they don't stack.

I'm sure it works great but from where I'm standing it isnt looking to good.
1) Spiking is not very useful in PvE.
2) You have 2 skills which drop all your adrenaline, this is bad.
3) Take heal sig, an adrenaline heal with a adrenaline dropping build is bad news.
4) With the exhaustion from shock it means you can hardly use it so in PvE its not very helpful.
And many more.
Sorry for being negative, also mabye it works better in PvP but I personaly wouldnt use it in PvE.

As Leprechaun said, Shock Axe is bad in PvE. I presume that is where you are using this build because I can't see why you would limit a PvP character to inferior armour and skill limitations of a new PvE character.

Yea I really shouldnt've listed Wild Blow. That was a bad idea.
I've gotten some really good results in PvE though, Dasha Vestibule's end area wasn't a problem since I was able to time Shock on a Searing Flames.
I can see where you guys are coming from though. I might drop the 9 in earth/water and put it back into tactics. Thanks for your time.

I like the idea using Frigid Armor, I'll try it out once I move my tank into the latter parts of Nightfall.
