I'm not sure if anyone has posted regarding this before but incase its new info here it is. Apparently a release date has been set for the 1st of March for a 4th GW campaign. So is this for real or do you think this is false information?? Perhaps im a bit behind on things in the GW world at the moment but i was under the impression that a 4th chapter hasn't even been officially announced yet by Anet??

Well about 5 days ago the release date on PLAY was 01/01/07. Aswell as the fact they dont have the name (with it not being out in press release yet).

They are just guessing

Game distributors are always guessing (inaccurately) about release dates. IIRC EBGames or some other similar company had an incorrectly guessed release date for Nightfall or Factions on their website before it was officially announced, there was a thread somewhere about that awhile ago.

In other words, don't believe it until Anet issues their press release.

If e verything goes well the next chapter should be released in April 2007, on the aniversary of the release of Profecies. They might have to delay it only if there are problems but they have been sticking to the 6 month per chapter rule so far (Factions beign the exception as it was released late but they gave us Sorrows Furnace to chew on).

You would do better to believe the release date that Michel of Easy Interactive gave us: August 2007.

If its really on the 1st of March, then u can be sure that it will be a factions clone, another milking Chapter.

27th of April would be realistic or better yet August 2007 but i doubt the team may have much say in the release dates after looking at NF release.

Don't want a new chapter that soon. I favor every Nine to Twelve months for a new chapter.

That way, a player has enough time to take other characters to the other campaigns and do all that fun stuff with out feel like he or she is going to miss the band wagon because a new chapter has been released.

The only thing about Chapter 4 that has been offically released is that it is in development. Everything else you have heard is just rumor, speculation, misunderstanding, or flat out lies.

i would much rather wait and extra few months if it means getting a chapter that is NOT another factions clone. i was rather disappointed with factions in general and thought that it all felt rather rushed. on the other hand i found nightfall a much better campaign and hope that the next campaign we get is more like nightfall than factions.

I honestly wouldn't mind some new content soon but only if it was good. Just rushing content out would be useless I'd rather wait if it came to that.

I don't understand why people complain about this. If you don't want the new content DON'T buy the new chapter.

Some people do get bored very quickly with some of the new content and do not mind the 6 month releases.

You are NOT forced to buy the new chapter unless you play GvG.

Retailers just put a release date there hoping you will preorder from their site since they have an "insight" on when its coming out before other's do. That could also be the date that they will start the preorders.

Well you had me quoted so I'm going to assume this was aimed toward me. First off I was stating my opinion not complaining.

By your logic if I'm ready for a new chapter and it is released but its not very good I shouldn't be bothered? I shouldn't offer feedback but instead just sit and not buy it? Sorry but thats rediculous. And how am I suppose to judge if its good if I don't buy it? I obviously DO want content but I want it to be good and if that means telling Anet that I don't like somthing they did I will.
