Here is a build idea I have testing out for few days, it is an alternative to the old Air of enchantment smiting

Instead of using the prot line now you follow the healing line

The attribute I uses are the followed

11+1 healing
10+3+1 smiting
10+1 divine favor

orison of healing
healing touch
dwyane's kiss
word of comfort
glyph of lesser energy (great energy management when u renew the 2 enchants)

Zealot's Fire
Holy Haste
Healer's Covenante

This build allow you to spam healing onto your team mate and also dealing extra damage around foes. The dps is not that great but can deal significant pressure. Plus the energy is very easy to manage if every 30 second you renew your enchant with glyph of lesser energy. Remember, put up zealot's fire first then holy haste, have healer's covenante on all time.

SMITING IS BACK ON THE TABLE!

sounds very nice actually. Infact it is probably even better than the air of enchant build since you can use any spell here instead of enchants. I will definitely need to try this out.

I run a variant in PvE, and I have to say that it works BEAUTIFULLY. If your res sig has already been used, it counts towards Master of Magic. I'd have to give the nod to the ele over a monk primary on this one.

The point is that you are playing defensively as well as offensively. I checked out your smiting build with master of magic, it has much less protection or healing power compare to the air of enchantment build. If I want pure damage I'll just go ether prodigy and spam what ever spell I want. But this build is basicaly for infinite spam of heal also added on for the damage allowed for melee attacker to induce additional pressure. This is not a primary healer build and should not be because -25% benefit from heal really hurt if u r trying to catch spike heal. But energy wise this build is very solid, you can spam your heart out without worry about energy.

You can also kick healing touch for ethereal light since you have holy haste on you and is probably using some kind of 20% half cast.

I find that glyph of lesser energy is really crucial, because if enchant is stripped you can really lose alot of energy by renewing the enchant, and glyph really helps, especially now it works on two next spell.
