I never knew they existed (presearing)

So I made a mesmer for the new title in presearing, that requires you to achieve level 20 prior to the searing. I was farming charr and I got a mind spark garb from a Chaot and it had a rune on it. I never knew it was possible for blue armors to drop in pre but I somehow received one. I thought nothing of it and salvaged the armor but as you can see in the screentshot it existed and it is presearing.
Has anyone else received one of these as a monster drop?

sorry... it is possible... i already got it... what would be more than unlikely was for you to successfully savage the rune
btw... you can't solo charrs with a Me/R... in pre of course...

The mesmer is the best character for charr farming in pre, actually if you have one you can farm the charr quicker than other professions and your can start farming them in a lower level.
As you can notice, the mesmer skill bar as empathy, backfire and conjure phantom... well if you have those in pre, you can kill everything.
The rest is on positioning, and having a pet helps... If u wanna kill casters place yourself behind a wall and cast backfire/conjure phantom/empathy ; if you wanna kill rangers do the same positioning but cast empathy/conjure phantom ; if you wanna kill warriors send ur pet to tank and cast conjure phantom/empathy (they'll use frenzy so they'll die in 5 seconds if u have nice domination magic)
With other professions this takes slower and you must wait to be on a higher level to farm them.

A mesmer without secondary. The level 0 Fire Magic Firestorm doesn't make that much of a difference.
Much older character of mine was a Me/R, first character that I played Prophecies through in fact, which left pre-searing as level 13.

OP's question: it's fairly common for the charr to drop blue armors, charr-farming isn't a bad way to unlock all the minor runes for a new account, actually.
As for salvaging in pre-, only if you can find someone with an expert or superior salvage kit left from the days of the guild-hall glitch. I did see someone trying to sell a salvaged minor vigor in Pre- a week or so ago for 80k, if that's any indication of price.

So did I imagine farming those Charr by myself last night? Because I'm pretty sure you can solo them dude. I did about 4 runs and got 2 levels BY MYSELF(with pet of course).
So you better get the facts straight because its possible.

Well, Rangers can get a 15-28 bow with the Game of the Year edition But warriors do need exploited items :P
Anyway... Anyone found any Insignias in Pre yet? I'm pretty sure they only drop in Elona, but just wondering.

But on all those people saying Warriors and Rangers are the best... YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT..... if you have a lvl 20 with max armor and max dmg.
But the mesmer does armorignoring damage, which makes them do equally (= a lot) damage to low lvls as high lvls. Anyway, killing those Charr if ur higher then lvl 13 is pointless anyway, so warriors and rangers wont get their stats high up enough to be fast farming these low levels.

When you're level 10 you can already put 9 into an attribute, that's usually enough for a max damage warrior or ranger weapon. It'll still require you to have a good weapon, but what you're saying is wrong. And saying killing Charr after lvl 13 is pointless is just stupid. People going for the LDoA title want to go to lvl 20, and will usually kill Charr untill lvl 15 or lvl 16.
