just a quick question regarding hornbows. other then the inherent 10% ap what type of benefits are there in using one?

i kinda have a rough idea about recurves and long/flat bows but i just dont see when or where a hornbow would come in handy.

any input is greatly appreciated
thxs in advance

Hornbow is only reasonably useful in Ranger Spike, where the refire rate doesnt matter.

The penetration is their advantage over other bows. I prefer other bows for fire rate, arrow arc, etc.

And to answer your question - the 10% AP is the only benefit of hornbows, which makes up for the slower refire rate and the slower delivery.
