I have the fiery sunspear of shelter currently and was wondering how to remove the fiery upgrade and shelter upgrade so it can be just a "sunspear."

You cannot remove or replace the mods on /bonus items.

If you are using the preorder item, you cannot remove those modifiers.
If you are using any other item with those modifiers and wish to replace them, simply add the new mod to the item.

You could try salvaging the mods, but each time you do there is a 50% chance that the weapon will be destroyed. Why do you want to remove the mods? If it is to put other mods on, just go ahead a do that, as the current mods will be replaced with the new ones.
