To get myself in the festive spirit, I've been rewatching the Wintersday Memories 2005 cinematic (multiple times!).
Can anyone tell me what the piece of music is that accompanies it, and who wrote it? It's just lovely.

Well, I can't download the cinematic to see right now. But in Wintersday 2005, Jeremy Soule made an exclusive score for the event. It's very cheerful yet also creating the right mood for "Dwayna vs. Grenth" for the event.

The title (and all of the others in gw cinematics) is written by Jeremy Soule. I can't really remember which one is it in Wintersday cinematic but I think it's one of the bonus tracks in the special edition of GWP OST. You can check out some of these songs at www.directsong.com, the wintersday one should be there as well. I think they really are special, too.

Thanks. I was wondering if it might be Mr Soule.

I've bought all packs from Directsong and the Wintersday track isn't in any of them.
On the same topic, there's a track in Factions (the one played in Kaineng Center to be exact) that isn't included in Factions soundtrack, either.

I found it. It's a bonus track on the Prophesies soundtrack called "First Light".

Yes I think it was that one. Really nice score. There is also another special for the haloween 2005 event, which is also one of my all-time favourite; "The Elementalist". Too bad these are availble only on special edition of GWP OST but from what I hear you can also hear them ingame. Might be worth getting them (and the new Nightfall too) if you're really into it.

Oh thats cool i managed to get that awhile ago. Very cool.

Ah...yes. I've just downloaded the clip and listen to the song in it. That's indeed a track from Directsong. But it's not the track I was talking about though. I was talking about the track that played in LA during last year's Wintersday, by Jeremy Soule also.
