Super Weird Gold Armour Drop(No Rune)

I just finished Zen Daijun mission in Cantha. Was looking at my loot, noticed a gold armour(Plagueborn), proceeded to identify it.

... and what happened?

No rune attached to it!

In over 4000 logged on hours, I have never had a coloured armour, let alone a gold one, not have a rune on it.

Is this something new?

Same here. Robbin' bastards nicked my sup rune out of it. >( If it doesn't have a rune in it, why is it gold?!

I've had it happen to blue/purple weapons before but not armour.

I know you said that you got this armour in that mission, but are you absolutely sure you are not mistaken?

You probably know this too, but when you salvage armour now, you only have a 50% chance or less or actually destroying the armour when you extract the rune, so if you had previously salvaged a rune from this armour then you could have been left with the runeless armour in your inventory and only noticed it again later.

Also, did you do the mission alone or with other "real" players? Could another player have dropped this almost worthless item after salvaging the rune from it in order to clear some space in his inventory?

Just a couple of suggestions as to how this could have happened without there being anything weird going on.

Nah, he knows what he got. I got some too, purple.

E. Salvaged anyways just to see and got scraps. So report it maybe? I doubt anything will be done, they'll just say there is no proof it wasn't stripped already. It's a bug, the more reports made the more likely we'll get a patch.

It's always worth reporting things like that that you genuinely can't explain, and as you say the more reports they get the more likely it is that they will take the report seriously.

Happened in my party at the weekend.

jep, has happend before i still have a purp charr fiend armor with no rune ( found 3 months after prph) so it's there for a while...

4 of these dropped the other day in a mission 1 for me 3 for other ppl all had no runes, all gold plaugeborn. They was from the Vizunah Square mission playing in international districts

They are supposed to have a rare inscription, but you get them in Cantha and therefore you can't get any inscriptions?

This ALWAYS used to happen to me in Prophecies.
I seem to remember that they changed the percentage chances at some point because a lot of people were getting POed at getting worthless gold or purple drops.
But I seem to remember that they said that they wouldn't COMPLETELY remove the chance of this happening.

Okay, so I am not the only one then. It just seemed really odd at the time, as I would have remembered something like this if it had happened to me before, or read about the possibility of it on the forums.

So they're back again?
Gold or purple armors containing no rune inside were dropping at the early days of Prophecies, a year later with events shortly before Factions release they got reintrodueced, then fixes again after a week or so.
That were the 2 major periods those glitched armors could be found. So they are confirmed to be back again? Only in Cantha or other campagins too?

I think the problem is that first, the game checks for a rune. If not, then it does an inscription. Because there are no inscriptions in that area, it has to leave it blank, even though it is already decleared rare
