Hi all I recently noticed that there are yet again no special events in Cantha although i have Proph, Facs, and NF facs is my favorite (i kno many of you aren't facs fans however

still i wish anet would set up some special events in cantha first it was no Halloween now no Wintersday... Does any one else want to see events in Cantha? Maybe Kaineng or Cavalon, and HzH? or even just one of them...

I wouldn't mind at all

Personally I love all 3 chapters - there is good and not so good
in all of them. But it's a challenge for sure.

I wonder if it's part of how Kaining is built. Shing Jea is pretty small, but so is Kamadan However we did have the Dragon Festival.

I'm really not sure why Wintersday would not be game wide.

I can understand Ascalon and LA as set up would be easy using programs from last year.

lol I ramble here sorry.

Cantha has the Dragon Festival.

Cantha still has the Dragon Festival, which returned once and it will most likely do again (and again, and again). All three Chapters decorated would be nice, but I doubt that'll happen, as long as I can get my 3333 Spiked Eggnogs

There are 2 cantha only events - Day of the Tengu and the Dragon Festival so it seems fair that it is left out of the other celebrations

He's not whining and asked for constructive replies, if you actually bothered to read the first post he said he had All FAC,PRO and NF expansions so he can get a hat, the only thing hes saying is Anet never does Halloween or Xmas in Cantha , and is asking for support to get something along like this,

So Factions should get Halloween, Wintersday, Dragon Festival AND Day of the Tengu but Prophecies and Nightfall should just get Halloween and Wintersday?

The way Anet has it set up everyone get their fair share of holidays. You can't get everything why don't people just accept that and stop complaining. Soon people will be asking why Warriors can't play as a nuker.

I forgot which Guild Wars site I read some info about this, but I think it makes sense that Anet didn't include the Wintersday & Halloween events in Cantha.

Cantha, based on Chinese/Asian culture has a different calenday system than European 'based' cultures. The start of the Chinese New Year for 2007 is Feb 18. Also, Halloween takes it's origins from the Celts (around 800AD), who lived in Ireland, Scotland, and Great Britain.

In my opinion, I think Anet does a great job in keeping the games true to their cultural basis.
