XP Totals

Just curious.
What are some of the higher XP totals that players have now.
For instance 1,000,000 is now very common for a dedicated player who has been playing since Factions was released. So what is an XP total range that would impress most players without being ridiculous.
Also, though this may have the same answer, what is the "average" XP total of people who started playing at release and have continued to play their characters on a regular basis?

for my 6 core characters that i have had since prophecies, i'm on average about 4 to 4.5 mil xp each, I've known a few people with 10+ on one character that they exclusively farmed on, i'd say anything over 5 or 6 mil is starting to get on the high end :-)

As of right now /age says 167 hours in 55 days (167 hours isn't much for a character that has been played since factions was released, in fact average 3 hours a day since nightfall is barely a "dedicated" player) and she has 955,000 exp. Very little farming and nothing higher than Desert Griffons in the Crystal Desert farmed (well, other than to test how high a level a build can solo).
Most of it is from missions and quests. Getting expert or better on nets over 2500 exp per mission. Many quests in the game from factions and nightfall are 2-5000 exp. I haven't really goofed off much with her or gone for titles yet.
She is just now starting the "befriending" arc in Factions so she should hit a million in a day or two. I got about 50k exp this evening (three Factions missions at masters and a number of quests) and spent a while unlocking map points in the Kurzic and Luxon areas.
Given that, I would expect some *really* high numbers out there. After noticing how much exp my Dervish had gained in such a short period I also wondered what some of the high values are now. I remember in Tyria when a million exp garnered a screenshot and forum post, didn't really realize that it was achievable so quick now.
Personally the Dervish is my higest exp value. I have some old characters but I hated Factions so they didn't do many high exp quests and I mostly farm low to medium level enemies that give little to no exp (I "farm" more to play the game and goof off than make gold). The rest of the characters I play are in the 800k range or so.

Got 1.5-2 million on any char that was around from before factions.
My assassin has only 800k.
But my favorite has 5 million (not farmed).
Though I have friends with 10 million or more on their chars they farmed with.
And I know someone who has 16 million + on a char he hardly farms with (not more then 1 million at most).
But basically anything 2 million or higher without farming impresses me.

5.6 million on my monk, 1 million on my necro, 900k on my warrior
MegaMouse
5 million on my Elementalist, 2.5 on my Ranger and a variety of numbers on my other characters. I have 5 characters that were made before Factions went retail.

All of those Solo Monks would have a very high percentage of XP >3000000xp
Haggard
We're all shooting off how much xp we have rather than answering the question. I think about 7-8 million xp upwards is impressive for normal players.

When i combine all my pve chars i get around 6 mill in total.
2.5 mill on my monk
1.5 mill on my warr
1 mill on my ranger
700-800k on my necro

8 digits is key to be impressive, imo. For anyone who has been playing a decent amount of time.

3.5 Million on my monk Sanctum...all of it in parties.
He never farms but he spent a lot of time with hench to get his Grandmaster Cartographer Titles and capping 250+ elites.
Everyother character is between 500K and a mil except my Dervish that I just started 2 days ago. I really only care about titles on my monk.

I would be impressed by 10mil+. Right now, you can get 1mil just for completing Factions or Nightfall, the quest rewards are ridiculously high compared to Prophecies.
If you have been seriously playing a character since Prophecies and doing most quests and areas, capping of many skills etc, you should have about 5mil XP. If you farm, your XP total will be even higher.

Prior to the update I had already capped all the skills in Prophecies and Factions. Even, if you would add in those xp (180 skills x 5,000 xp - 900,000) Sanctum would still fall short of 5 million xp and he has done just about every thing you can do including Sorrows Furnace quests several times, Under World quests, Fissure of Woe quests, and Defend Quests. This character has also run about every mission 10 times to help out guildies and has the Protector Titles in Prophesies and Factions and a clean quest log. He is about 80% done with NF and still only has 3.5 million xp. Keep in mind...this monk never farms.
Aki Soyokaze
~5 mil xp on my Ele
~5 mil xp on my Necro
~2.5 mil xp on my Monk
~1 mil xp on my War
So I guess an impressive amount would be in the 10-15million range for a single character imo.

I've played pretty much from the start and have only ever played two characters.
Ranger: 5.5 million XP
Necro 4.5 million XP
Ths equates pretty much to what others have said that an XP count of around 10 million would be about right for one character having been played fairly heavily from the beginning.

Shadow Kurd
1.8 mil with my ranger
Arya Nibelrund
Almost 9 millions with my pve monk, 1.5 millions with pve Warrior.
Haven't seriously used my monk in months since I turned to pvp-only.
I guess I'll be around 9.5 millions when I'll be done with chapter 3 elites on her.

About 6.5 million xp on my monk, 2.5 million on my mesmer, 1.7 on my warrior, 2 million on my necro. Everyone else (6 others) is around 700k-1.2million.
I'd say 10 million plus xp is impressive.
Although, no matter how many times I look at this post I'm still speechless.

Where does Livingston say that farmed xp doesn't count?
I'm still impressed that he can farm 20+ million xp, it's not like one run in UW give you a million xp.

LOL, indeed.
I never said only through normal playing or any such thing. Most people that have started in Prophicies when it first came out have done a hell of a lot of farming, because that's really all you could do once you beat the game and capped your skills, until Factions came out, and even then I would say a lot of them simply made new characters for Factions and continued to farm with their Tyrians in order to fund their factions characters.
I'm a bit different than that, as even though I started a good deal of time before factions came out, I mostly soloed my main as a W/E (non shock), with no help from guides or GW web-sites, so often times I spent weeks doing the same enter mission, as it would take that long to figure out how to do everything exactly right to get my character through it, and to figure out how the bonuses work. As such, I don't have anywhere near as much XP as I would have had if I used henchies and then began farming and skill capping.
Anyway, I think the general consensus is that 6-9 million = impressive, and 10+ = wow factor.
