Level 15 heros

From the official GW website, I have read the following:

My heros are still below level 15 on a couple of my characters that are already in Elona, I wonder if this is intended to work only for characters that are taken to Elona after the update.

by the working, no.

I am assumming that its only valid for those non Elona toons that havent gotten the Heros yet since there are addition of 2 new additional quest you have to complete (non-optional, part of storyline) before you will have acess to the level 15 heros.

Dont think it applies to those who passed that stage.

Good addition (just like the sunspear requirement in the primary quest).

Unluckily for me, I have already brought all my foreign characters to Elona and now I have to level dozens of heroes myself...

Gah, useless to me too, for the same reason as FrogDevourer.
My warrior and mesmer have the full suite of maxed heroes with max gear, but my ranger and monk have a bunch of newbs on their teams :E

But still, I'm glad they made this nice little change.

I like lvling up heroes...but thats just me....basically have fun in Cantha....

Same here. Maybe I'll bring over my lvl 3 and lvl4 mules over to get the lvl15 heroes.

damn i have all my 9 pve chars already with 9 level 2 kosses

If only they had done this earlier... *sigh*

At least I only have one more lvl 2 Koss to level up.

good addition. most of my chars are in elona, but not all of them. and better late than never

is there a "hero tamer" or something like that where I can get rid of my lvl 2 koss and charm a lvl15 "dire koss"? XD

I have 3 lvl 2 kosses more to lvl up ¬¬

I started bringing more chars over about 2 hours before the update.

Shame, I still have level 3 koss' here and there.

Heh. Maybe i'm wierd, but I like leveling them up.

Plus it's funny having Level 2 Koss running around with my Hundred Blades/Riposte build. He's so fierce and cute.

I wish they would have done this earlier..or at least made this apply to chars who already came over.

I feed them to the afflicted over and over till they toughen up.

They level so fast it is hardly an issue...in fact, the consulate docks mission is a good one to run a few times to level them.

Damn, I did Battle Preparations the hour before the update...

I want a hero tamer, too. So I can chuckle knowing I've sent Koss and Zhed to the happy garden ... where they'll presently become afflicted and beaten on by newb Canthans.

Lucky i only brought ONE of my all non-NF chars over, LOL. So I only have to go through the leveling up once. Sure it wasn't difficult, just do quests (rather than repeat the same mission over and over) to level them up. Not difficult, but kinda time-consuming if you have to do it several times.

So yeah, this hero level update was simply lovely. Thumbs up Anet!

The amendment is a good one for the impatient but I enjoy running mine down to Ascalon and doing all the Tyrian missions to increase their levels.

Hi guys this is my first post here , I sent an e-mail to a-net about the leveling of heros . I myself have all ready put the low level heros on my other 7 characters from the other games( prophices and factions) as I have 6 level 3 koss and one at level 10.
As u well know this will take me weeks to level all these up to 15, when any one bring in characters now start with koss and the rest at level 15 .
I asked them if they are going to update like this like they did with the green items eg. all cathan and tyria charaters heros minumin is level 15 or something like that.

People, i do not belive we have to take this lying down. the devs should give us an option to re-do those quests or just upgrade our heroes. by not retroactively upgrading our heroes we are effectively being PUNISHED for being enthusiastic and efficient fans of the game. i have been trying to post the following message in as many relevant forums as i can. and i encourage you all to stand up for yourselves.

I just contacted the official support team and after getting a blow off response i started posting on message boards.

During the recent December 20th patch they listed a bullet point about characters who come to elona from a foreign land will now get heroes starting at level 15. that sounded great. but apparently the devs have no intention to retroactively upgrade the heroes of players who already came to elona and received the starter pack of heroes. That seems to me that those of us who were enthusiastic and eager to complete the not exactly easy quest to travel to elona are now being PUNISHED for getting there early.

I would like to see the devs do one of 2 things. Either upgrade the valid heroes on the valid characters to level 15 (either just do it or put an NPC in that will do it for foreigners), or offer a one time reset option so we can perform the quest chain to travel to elona again that led the acquisition of the elonian heroes.

If anyone else finds this issue to be a slight against them from the devs please comment and let your thoughts be heard. we will only get this resolved if we can present this as a global issue that effects many of us. This issue feels akin to how cell phone companies will give new customers all sorts of discounts and free things, but existing customers get the middle finger and a swift kick in the ass.
