There ar not any collectors around. I figured ANET would be good enuf to put in collectors when Wintersday started. But, once again, they like to screw us. If they're gonna keep running events they need to do it properly.

The first day is always just the town decorations.
Collectors will be here in a day or two.
Oh and....how did they screw you by doing the same thing they have done for every other festival? Please explain to me how that works.

Gives you time to collect the materials. A couple of days of snowball fighting and you'll have enough to knock up something decent.

Considering the only reason this event is cool is because of the quests and collectors...yeah I'm looking forward and hoping it comes asap. Cause Snowball fights bore me more than GW itself.

Seems to me someone is upset by having farmed for drops early and often; now out of storage and was hoping to make a quick buck. I hope they change what is needed for the drops that the collectors are wanting.

Here's hoping the collectors show up ... since last Wintersday I have saved just over 2000 charr carvings and garg skulls by farming a little here and a little there.

I hope that A-Net decides to make the collectible items Encrusted Loadstones, Glowing Hearts and Mountain Troll Tusks just to "appease" all the farmers that have been hoarding collectibles pre-event...

isnt it obvious, this guy has spent ages farming collector items and is one of these greedy little a-holes who ruin events by spamming they have 500 of whatever to sell at 1k a time.

i'm a little disappointed the collectors haven't appeared yet (i cba to pay 1k for candy canes ) since i'll be out of town for most of the event

I played the Snowball Arena since the theme is up, I have played 50+ rounds of which I have 5 won. The team I'm in every time is or full of leavers, people who hardly know how to play it, people who bring presents the wrong way, people who think it's killing only. Besides that I have 3mbit connection and in most of the games I have a ping always <60 but in GW it ain't gonna drop below 150 and most of the time it's 240 +. Also when I have a present and wanna bring it and someone make me drop the present, it get's 80% dropped 5 yards away from me instead on the place were someone did the skill.
I stopped playing it, it ain't fun with lag, crappy teams and stuff, and the skill are also not really balanced if you ask me. A necro can do a skill which drops your heal in a certain area insanely fast and being crippled + lag mean you die in secs on that place. I think I wait until everyone is sick of it and give a try again, but right now it ain't funny with the lag and bad teams or leavers.

Maybe I can afford some of that new kit now.
I always wondered why people seemed to be willing to pay a premium for Charr carvings. Sold some to pay for other upgrades. etc. (Playing through with some friends for the first time)
