Hmmmmm, not sure what happened to prevent you getting to the chest, but I got to it so it is possible. gave me 3 plat and a nice gold shield

You need to grab a Wurm from South of that spot, then travel up. Beware, there is sometimes a desert wurm i the small patch of sulphur.

That's a bit short-sighted isn't it?
I mean I've gotten one character through the game but the rest of my pack won't be able to loot that Domain of Pain chest anytime too soon for example, and I'm guessing I'm not a bizarre exception to the rule. Heck believe it or not some players might not be through the game once, why take them away? If it was once per account I'd maybe made more sense out of what you were saying, but it's been suggested it's once per character.

i'm leaving for holidays soon so i won't be able to open those chests until i'm back (also since i don't have all my characters in those areas yet). so yea, i'd like those chests to stay

and since you can open them only one time per character anyways, there's no rush to take them away IMO

Typo on one of the NPC's names for the Ruptured Heart treasure chest. You have Shanin and its actually Shahin.

I'm still puzzled on the location of Kehtokweh and Ludor. I know the Cities there in but not where in the city.
I have the same problem with the PVE snowball fight. The underworld is more then 1 place.
Please be more specific.

If it's not yet know, that ok but please write that to. As it's stands now it reads like thats all in place.

The dwarf in Kamadan does not do anything. Myself and 10 other people found a quiet district and waited for 15 minutes without even touching the dwarf and nothing happened. No emotes, no gifts, no crazy euphoria. Nothing. As for the title, i doubit it, but who knows.

Yes, this spot is accesiable, your better off letting your hench fight the mob up there and grab your reward before the mob is cleared. That way you most likely wont have the dessert wurm coming after you.

The PVE snowball fight is not in yet as stated in the guide.

The PvP snowball fight is accessed through the snowball fight npc in any of the 4 cities listed.

The hat NPC is located in the NW corner of Kamadan and at the bottom of the hill from storage in Lion's Arch.

Also, need to amend the guide...

Under winter gift ... You don't get them from winning the D v G snowball fight this year - instead you get 3 candy cane shards for any win - these stack with last years candy cane shards.

And to answer another post above asking about the cc shards - at the time that is the only way to get shards - probably drop from mobs again this year as well as get from winter gifts whenever they decide to update.

PS - there is another thread in EEL discussing the treasures since they only seem to be in Elona right now.

They just updated it and monsters now drop Candy Cane shards. I just did 2 runs got 2 slowly but surely.

New Wintersday quest: Save the Reindeer, from Grandfather Kringle at Kamadan.

Takes you to Fahranur it seems...

EDIT: Small walkthrough for the first quest

Yellow dots are where the Reindeer are.
Fahranur: 1 group of 3 Humbogs, the other of 3 Grentches.
Sidenote: Reindeers CAN die (got one killed on one of the traps "by accident" <.<
Doesn't matter for the quest, though it says return the Reindeer to the Frost Maiden, all you need is talk to her, even if the Reindeer are a map away.

Hmmm, yesterday i could do snowballfights with my PvE characters, maybe it was a bug that has been fixed now. Anet states on their mainsite that players that hadnt unlocked boattravel couldnt enter the snowball arenas yet.

Anyway, snowballfights are entered by talking to the NPC with [Snowballblahdibla] behind his name. And the hat NPC's are named [Festival Hats]

Maybe some people arent aware of this yet, but if you need to find certain NPCs or Players, you should press down the ALT and the CTRL keys.

For those people that can not find ALT and CTRL on their keyboard: In LA (Lions Arch, duh) SnowballNPC is standing in front of Lionguard Captain Sergio, and the HatNPC is in the Merchants row, along with the rest of the merchants. For those ignorant enough not to know these locations, I suggest continueing the game and look at all the wonders that will reveal themselves.

Anyway, about the Wintersgreens: Its a bit difficult to understand at first read, but they say the NPC supplying these items will be added WITHIN 30 days from end of Tournament. AFTER he has been added, he will remain another 30 days in the game for players to claim their prizes.

it appears that you have to escort the Moa Bird to the village in the Northwest corner and then do a music emote to raise holiday spirit.

EDIT:
you then have to escort it to the village in Issnur Isles.

Spreading the Wintersday spirit is the easiest really, just escort to the village at Zehlon Reach and Issnur Fields, the use an instrument emote to make it "dance". Also the last Dwayna quest it seems.

BTW, Issnur Fields was lagging like hell, anyone else got the same?

Pretty easy and straightforward.

Follow up: How the Grentches Stole Wintersday

Pretty easy again, kill groups of Brrl and Longhair Yeti. Special guest starring Ursula The White, a Warrior boss....which I now want as a pet...

Reward from Scuuj (who's too cheap to give me gold...)

And Follow up: The Gift of Giving (With spelling error on Dwayna even >.< )

Quest: package delivery basically. Just get to the person, deliver package and sit back and enjoy the show...

Which concludes the Grenth Quest line. Basically, if you're just interested in the CC Shards, do the Grenth line of quests. Evil way is much faster and easier, but less rewarding...which is a wise lesson that blablabla...

Noticed one small bug on the Grenth gift-giving quest... if you accept w/ a full inventory, you still get quest even tho you didn't get the presents. Only way to fix it, is abandon the quest, then talk to Skruj again.

I think i know where Frozen ecto will drop, I mean where do ectos normally drop ? UW Ofcourse so.. maybe the monsters in UW (Snowbal PvE ) Will drop em... btw maybe after wintersday they melt and tur into real ectos =P

It seems there was an oversight. In the middle of the tented area in Kamadan with the NPCs (Merchant, Skill Trainer, etc.) there is 1 more collector.

There is a bug with the find the stolen presents quest I didn't see posted yet.

Edit: I just read the rules that say we are not supposed to tell people about exploitable bugs - so I'm removing the info and sending the bug report to ANet.
