Can someone please help me?

I've been trying to get a bear in Pre-Searing for ages now but every person i've tried it with so far just doesn't listen or does not speak English. I told 1 guy to run away as the bear uses Brutal Mauling. What happens? Bear Uses Brutal Mauling, the guy runs to me and starts attacking Elementals....

Please, anyone here who has ever Charmed a bear or helped with it, can you help me plz? My ingame name is Arsalan Zoheb. Thanks in advance

I don't see any problems with it, just go alone and charm the bear. Is it that hard?

Brutal mauling interrupts charm animal, that's why you need 2 people.

Can't you get a monk and interrupt brutal mauling with bane signet?

It would be much easier just to slow down the bear with Imagined Burden which is available in pre-searing. Anyway "Brutal Mauling" is an adrenaline attack, so you should have enough time to charm it.

You can get a bear in the Shiverpeaks if this is too much of a hassle.

It's not the Mauling that interrupts it, it's a skill called Breaking Charm.

Ya, the problem is the Breaking Charm skill. That;s why i need a warrior/necro with Faintedheartedness, Hammer Bash and Bane Signet which should slow the bear down at least for 10 seconds.

It seems like the OP knows how this is done, but for the responses that don't seem to. The easiest (and maybe the only given the skills available in pre) way to get a bear pet is to go out with 2 people. Have the person that does not want to charm the bear aggro the bear. Have the charmer stand on the edge of the bear's aggro circle. When the bear starts casting his brutal mauling on the non-charmer, two things happen:
- the charmer starts casting charm animal on the bear
- the non-charmer starts running in the opposite direction of the charmer

This way, the bear finishes brutal mauling and chases the non-charmer, so the bear is out of range to cast his breaking charm on the charmer. (The charmers charm animal finishes even when the bear is out of aggro because the bear was in range at the start of the charm animal skill. lol, y'all just know they're gonna nerf that!)

The breaking charm casts way too fast to reliably interrupt with something like bane signet.

I know this method works. I've played the non-charmer before.

Ive tried the running away trick but the thing is the bear chases for a little while then goes back and does breaking charm. I dunno why this is, maybe the guy whos charming is standing too close or im doing something wrong by not timing my run. If you ever are in pre searing please help me. Also if anyone else knows how to do it this way, contact me plz

And yes, i know bane sig is a monk skill so a w/n cant have that :P
