I was under the impression that if everyone on the other team leaves or resigns, I win. Apparently anet disagrees. Maybe they should make HA and GvG like that too. Resign in GvG right before they kill your lord = no rating. Great idea Anet, keep up the good work.

I don't understand. The other team(s) just happened to leave and then you couldn't win? If that's what you are saying, it should accually be easier to win because there will be no one to stop you from getting the presents...so, what is the problem?

No, what he means is if the other team leave or resign, you dont get Gamer skill points or 3 shards. Thats like saying if your playing HA and the other team leaves or resigns you shouldnt get fame.

Please fix this ASAP, ive already lost out on 30 points because of opponent quitters/resigners

i think they mean that when the opposing team leaves/resigns it doesn't count as a win for you. this happened to me last night, when the other team all decided to leave half way and it didn't add to our Gamer points or count as a consecutive victory for my team.

Now that sucks... this basically gives a chance for the losing team to be even bigger losers by all quitting at the last minute.

You don't win your cc shards if they all leave before your team reaches 5 pts.

I don't think it's that the problem is with the snow arena specifically...
It's that people have been complaining about these problems everywhere with the reply being that it's a valid mode of play that won't be dealt with, and with holiday events, so many people are participating, it becomes even more obvious.

Griefing and leeching frustrated me quite a bit today, though I just stepped back and took a break instead of posting about it. It doesn't mean it wasn't annoying for me.

is there any reason why we cant make team for snowball arena??

i time "enter" with my guildies if not in the same team we rage and other ppl do exactly the same, doesnt it sound retarded and also ruin everybody's fun?

if we r supposed to have fun in this snowball arena then surely we'll have more fun if we r playing with friends.

if u want to get the gamer title in the right way, i.e. no rage quitting. then u'll have to play by YOURSELF for at least 100 games, 5 min each which is 500 min - 8 hr+. is the "gamer" title supposed to be the "no real lifer & gw loner" title? Great for christmas huh?

It's spread over 12 days, 11 if you exclude a 24 hour block for Christmas day. That's about 45 minutes a day every day except Christmas for the title, if we go by 5 minutes average per match.

And, like the festivals in Cantha, one doesn't have to do everything at once. There will be other years, and judging by the information regarding Gamer title, there will be other games that give points for it.

That's exactly the reason.

Snowball arena is so simple, that organized team simply dominates it. And while skills may seem pointless, a predetermined selection of classes makes for quite an advantage.

This isn't serious pvp. It's fun for the whole family. Treat it as such.

If they are going to fix it then they should also fix that it doesn't give Glad points when you win 10 in a row. It darn sure should, winning 10 in a row in Snowball Arena is way harder than winning 10 in a row in RA because most of the players in Snowball Arena are at the skill level appropriate for Presearing. Never thought I'd say this, but RA is Heaven compared to Snowball Arena. I think winning 10 in a row in Snowball should give 3 Glad points. But at the very least it should be fixed to give 1.

Yeah someone won 70 in a row, that's great, but my point remains the same. The reason someone was able to win 70 in a row is because if by some miracle a competent team is formed in Snowball Arena, it is not that hard to beat the forthcoming 70 opposing teams that will be consisting mostly of people at Presearing skill level.

The problem still remains that chances are a good player is not going to get on a team with likewise good allies, and instead will be lumped into the Presearing-level forthcoming 70 teams getting beaten. Which results in a new level of frustration that is way worse than what is typically seen in RA (RA which used to be the worst of the worst for ally incompetence).

the thing i see is once you find a steller team you win ALOT. i hear all kinds of 20-40 wins. Maybe 1-10 4 glads 10-20 3 20-30 2 30-40 1 40+ 1

I have 38 glad points in RA, and I've played around 4 hours in the snowball arena -- without the monk advantage of RA, I can say from experience that it's much easier to get a good team in the snowball arena. I've entered the arena maybe 6 times, one time I lost on the first one, and the rest have been quite successful, with streaks of 17 and 12, and the rest at around 6, although I didn't stay for all of them.
