Retroactive rephrasing of assassin shadow step

I think this has been addressed before, but it probably fell into the nothingness that is the old threads. There is a fundamental difference between shadow step and teleporting. The mechanics of the game's engine recognizes that shadow step is simply walking really fast whereas teleports from rebirth and Consume Corpse/NEctortic Transversal actually "teleports".

The assassins skills all do shadow steps, but some of them are incorrectly listed as teleport.

A comprehensive list is as follows:
-Return
-Scorpion Wire
-Viper's Defense
-Aura of Displacement "you return to your location" --> shadow step to your original location
-Shadow of Haste "return to your location" --> shadow step to your location
-Ride the lightning "ride the lightning to target" --> You ride the lightining to target, shadow stepping to it.

That's 7 skills of 1000+ skills, but it is an issue that has not been addressed.

Issues with the wording (i.e. fundamental differences):
-Teleporting does not cause the caster to drop held items whereas shadow stepping does.
-Shadow step has to go somewhere you can walk/run
-Teleport can be across terrain barriers , shadow step cannot. For exmaple, shadow stepping to foe on a ledge results in you being at the ledge, not running to the top of it.

Heightened state of mind.

Simple yet obvious rephrase, likely not discussed much because it doesn't impact much nor stir many. Since this is technically a misnomer, you may get away with sending this as an error to technical support.

Minor, but also easy to fix and genuinely relevant.

I was rather confused about this as well. I figured out later that shadow steps only worked within the minimap where you could run to.
/signed to...what was the suggestion?

I always wondered why Shadow Stepping makes you drop objects... Is this a glitch? Is ANet planning on fixing this? Or are you meant to drop objects when you Shadow Step?

Oddly, I was about to create a thread to discuss this matter, but seeing as an OP already brought the question forward (kinda), I'm asking it here.

As for the "rephrasing", doesn't really matter to me. If they do redo skill discriptions, all the better. But I'm not gonna keel over if ANet doesn't have the time.

Because it would be exploited with bundle items. Relics, Res Orbs, Flags, Repair Kits and so on... people would simply teleport with the item and that would really harm the balance. So you drop any bundle items you carry while Shadow Stepping "merely" for balance issues as in not running flags to the flag stand in 5 seconds on a GvG, etc.

Back to the thread suggestion, I also believe this is not a suggestion, it is a fix for something that is ambiguous aka bug to be sent for the support. Anyway, /signed to the ambigousity fix, as it brings no harm and improves the skills descriptions.

What eric said, not dropping items while shadowstepping would make R/A runners in GvG ridiculous.
