Solo Farming (am I missing something?)

I thought I would post my recent experience, to see if it resonated with anyone or if I might get some advice. About two weeks ago I noticed I stopped getting green drops. So I started keeping a log. this is from my solo farming over ~the last two weeks.

ghail: 27 times. 0 drop.
sskai: 14 times. 0 drop.
shagu or shamu or w/e that paragon boss in barbarous shore: 23times. 0 drop

others successfully solo'd (but less than 10 times)
Eshau longspear: 0 drop
modti the necro flower: 0 drop
that mantis dude who drops daggers in echovald. 0 drop.

All told, in all farms, quests etc. solo or otherwise I have gotten 0 greens (this includes 7 tombs B/P runs) in this time.

Maybe this is common for some of you? For me it seems very unusual.

notes:
-when I say solo I mean solo. not hench or heroes.
-I don't have the grn I am looking for in my inventory (I've heard that hurts your chances)
-I switch between mes, nec, tank, and sin farm builds, and usually don't run more than 5times in a row without breaking for something else.

I'm starting to worry maybe there is like some kind of code to look and see how much gold I have in my storage then stop giving me items or something @@.

Anyway I mostly do it for the fun and not desperate for cash or anything, but it's kinda demoralizing to go so long without reward for what I consider to be strenuous effort.

thoughts comments ideas? Am I missing something obvious?

I notice that too.
For example, i solo farm ghial like ~100 times with no drop. I decided to get in a farming group just for fun, and we did 4 runs together and got 2 drops.
Tried again in a group the next day did 3 runs and got 1 drop. Found a new group we did 7 runs and got 1 drop. WTF.. GW hates solo farmers...

Thanks for the feedback guys. It seems a little underhanded to me to gimp solo-farming (if they actually do that: I don't have any hard evidence of this yet) and then keep it a secret so that ppl will keep doing it as an exercise in futility. I haven't read anything from Anet or in my guild wars tips that says they don't want you to try to fight alone. In a lot of games I've played previously soloing was kind of a "next step" for advanced players.

Is there something wrong (from Anet's perspective I mean) with picking out that paragon shield I want and then going to fight shagu repeatedly until I get it?

[edit: didn't finish my thought] Because in my mind there *is* something wrong with bosses that don't drop their unique 1/10 times. Not to mention 1/20+ [/edit]

It's not like my new paragon already has a good shield, and I prefer to use wpns I fight for rather than just buying the #1 items (not that I don't do that sometimes too lol).

This is MY experience, and by no mean saying it is what everyone should do:
When I stopped getting greens after 6~7 runs or so, I go and play some sort of PvP, like AB or GvG or something.
I come back and get loads of greens.
Mish/Quests break the anti-farming code (I think that's what the popup says).
One way to avoid the code is to farm different bosses.
What I do is... say I am farming Ghial or something, farm him for about 5 times. If I get a drop, I switch boss immediately (even if it's before 5). If I don't, I switch anyway.
I never gotten the anti-farming code.
Like for Triple Green Drop in Elona weekend, I got off with about 100 Deathbringers and never seen the code pop up once. Sunday night the drop stop getting fewer and fewer - the point is to farm places where other people usually don't go.
