Wintersday Underworld mission no good for necros
countesscorpula
so, um... yeah. You have to do the mission solo. The Holiday Blues says sacrifice 100% health. Guess necros are kinda gimped then aren't they.
Is it possible that someone didn't think this one all the way through? I'm thinking it's a wee bit cruel to send folks into a mission, pre select their skill for them, and then have those skills guaruntee failure if used.
Wanna rethink this one guys?

What is this mission you're talking about?
snikerz
hes talking about the Rift Warden quests
u enter in on yr own, and holiday blues kills you, and u get sent back, kinda like failing underworld, and u get sent back to temple of ages.

In Grenth's Defense quest? Is this a new underworld for soloing?
dr love
war skill makes em run faster... that don't help much.
but really u can get along fine without it.

Erm. You dont have to use the skill, ya know?
I haven't used my Derv's Form in there and did just fine.

VitisVinifera
where does this start from?
daraaksii
Lol. Easy to do with only the first 2 skills.
exiled mat
It's just waaaaaaaaaaaaay too simple with an ele
Simply find any obstacle which blocks their snowballs, and hope that they don't come running around it Icicles spamming till their dead (target ele's first, since they can bypass the trick )

I did the bonus as well, and now im running around the underworld free of monsters!
Tuesg
How many waves are in the bonus I keep getting bored doing it?
Renegade26
6 i think. Not many.
Tyggen
6 waves, yes. Just completed it on my rit, took forever because they don't exactly swarm over you..
getalifebud
Yeah this was easy to defend as a rit.
Hand of Ruin
Q_Q
I just did them on my warrior and I didn't even use my profession skill... it's easy as hell.

Njaiguni Blaze
And you can get here by...?
electrofish
Rit is the easiest imo
the use of spirits reminds me of TD in wc3
It'd be nice if they could create a proper TD minigame though, with more than one spiri.

Then don't use your special skill. Have you seen the Dervish class skills? Worthless anywhere.
Njaiguni Blaze
I'll look on wiki I geuss.
Cygnus_Zero
Yes noone likes to answer questions here. There must have been 4 people asking where to get this quest. lol

Do you guys have any tips for these quests? I've been trying all morning with all classes, and I can't beat them.
baddog992
I did the mission with my dever character on the light side and made it all the way thru. Cant rember her name, the light side is very easy. The dark side grenth is a little on the harder side, my opinon only. Great festive!!!!
Renegade26
Those who are having trouble, practise dodging the snowballs using Q and E, or left clicking on the map. Go one way while he releases, then go the opposite way when its in the air. Also always start each fight with Hidden Rock Activated.
Former Ruling
I beat both of them multiple times with only Snowball, Hidden Rock, and Mmm Snowcone!
:\
Though the bosses are quite a bit easier with the Shirt Hex.

Hi, i beat it too, with my necro. Except for the bonus round. I postulated that Rits would have it a bit easier. From the posts here i can see that i was right. I still think it's a bit sucky to have an "abort" button on my skill bar. One wrong click, one wrong key stroke, and BOOM! game over. Sincerely, not the best of ideas i've seen come out of GWs.
On another note, most everthing else is way spiffy. I took a pretty SS of my Sin in fron to fthe giant stocking. Looks great. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of the dev team, but I just thought somethign wasn't thought out here.

Found them really easy with my Assassin, the 50hp/20sec really helps, especially on 'In Grenth's Defense' -- just load yellow snow before each enemy, drop a couple of snowballs on and kite the rest while the disease carts them off - you probably only get hit once, and sidestep sorts that out before the next enemy appears.
Jeff Highwind
Yea, Hidden Rock is key to this mission. I use Ice Fort as well in case of enemies that use Hidden Rock or Mega Snowball.
I've farmed about 20 ectos from that quest and sold them at 900g per. God I love the holidays.
